This is super impressive! I didn't know that you could interpolate between GP drawings, and I've been using Blender for a couple of years now! Thanks for that :)
@@mizukukun This is great stuff!! I know it's 4 months later, but it would be awesome to see a quick tutorial going over how you did this. What are (how did you make) the shadows and highlights? How did you get the interpolation to work so well? (Mine tend to distort over the length of the interpolation.)
Can interpolation be used on strokes? For example, could you draw a frown, then use the sculpt (I think it's sculpt) to make the stroke into a smile and then interpolate the in between frames?
Yes.Interpolation affects the active layer so either move the mouth to a different layer or copy all the other strokes of the layer to the new keyframe. Keep in mind that in new keyframes you will lose the rig for this layer.
Super cute voice, excellent spoken English & awesome art skills, u r a natural born talent dear. Btw, what device r u using? Have u connected a tablet to ur system or something like that?
Yeah, actually now that I’ve been able to get a little more used to the workflow for these sorts of pieces, the next animation I’m doing has a color palette more similar to my previous works :>
Hi!! Yep, I mentioned in the description that I got a lot of inspiration from his work and I highly recommend you check his RUclips out since I learned a lot from it!
would have been great if u showed us your lightings too, can u provide me the blend file if u have it pls ? or if u have a discord server by any chance?
Question! For the outlines part, doesn't blender have a function where you can add grease pencil outlines to objects or collections? Why not use that instead of the solidify method?
I watched the Hbomber video about plagiarism and it reminded me of this video. Crediting just in the description and instagram post about it of a creator you took massive inspiration from is not really enough. As of the current date of December 2023, the current credit by Mizukukun on this video to Dedouze is buried at the bottom of the RUclips description saying: "Also, like I said in my Instagram post, I studied Dedouze’s style for this render; his style is very recognizable and his works are very pretty!" The colour palette is so similar to Dedouze's, so much so that when most people looked at the thumbnail they will think it's one of his videos. The reason this is additionally not ok is because this is not a 'I learned from this tutorial from Dedouze and this is the result,' but you are making your OWN tutorial by using, in part, his teachings without enough due credit (as of December 2023 it is currently titled: 'How I ANIMATE in Blender with Grease Pencil'). This is because it's published in the same video genre, which is grease pencil tutorials, which may take from their existing viewer base. It's a really great tutorial, and everyone needs more blender help with grease pencil! But let's not ruin this lovely blender community by taking from existing creators that are already putting a lot of work into pushing the technology further with their own research please 💙
Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to bring this to my attention in the way that you did and in detail. I did not intend to bury any credit; I was experimenting with blender and wanted to post my results, as well as collate some tips that I wished I would’ve known before starting myself. This was not meant to be a full tutorial, but a process video that just broke down how I went about making each part of the piece. The reason why the video is titled in that wag is because I didn’t just watch a Dedouze tutorial video then made my own work; when I mentioned that I studied the style, I referred to mostly Instagram posts and one of his “process videos” to see how the lighting and layering was done. Hence I used similar colors (to visualize the lighting), though the character and background lineart style itself are how I usually draw. The actual tutorials I used were mainly for the toon shader and lighting animations. The above is just an explanation for the current standing, but I understand the points you’ve brought up! I’ll update the description to link everything at the top, which I should have done in the beginning. I’ll also update the title to include that this was meant to be posted as a process video. Though I refer to this video when people ask me for a tutorial, I inform them beforehand that it’s intended to be a behind the scenes breakdown of the piece. I don’t have access to RUclips studio at the moment, but I’ll update these before by the end of the weekend. Apologies if this reply took a while; I don’t have notifications on so I have to manually check them, and things like these tend to get buried under my other subscriber notifications. Thank you so much again!
Hey! I didn’t really experience much lag on my end in regards to the grease pencil and layering. The only lag I experienced would be when putting it on render mode if I selected cycles instead of eevee. (Refer to my settings at the end of the video)
This is really helpful! I'm trying to learn how to manipulate blender's features to make 2D animation easier for myself for school projects and I feel like Blender suits my needs best.
Thanks for the video, but you should have mentioned the original artist who created this style! @dedouze And you are using his colors as well. But other than that nice work 🎉
Hiiii i really lovee your art, may i ask a recomendation how to start studying blender? Maybe you have a course recomendation or youtube channel recomendation
Hi! First of all thank you so much! For learning blender, personally I didn’t do any course. I just decided on something that I wanted to model and went straight into it (knowing nothing about the program), then just searched online when I came across a problem, or wanted to achieve a specific look. That’s how I’m learning until now actually! It’s easier for me to learn that way than a strict course since I end up just experimenting and finding out how to do things on my own. Though for RUclips channel recommendations, one that was particularly helpful was Eve Sculpts! Good luck with learning Blender! :>>
I love the artstyle!! It makes me think about all the possibilities with this kind of workflow even though am still pretty new to blender 😅 Pls do more of these tutorials po ✨🙏
Thank you!! I’m definitely thinking of making another process video for my next piece; something like this one where I mainly share my workflow and a few helpful tips I learned!
I like your video. I have some questions. How to create animation in 2, 3, 4.... scenes? How to setting camera? How to create transition between two scenes
@@design9925 hey, sorry for the late reply, I only got the notification now for some reason. I think for completely different scenes, I'd just make a new project?
I see the dedouze inspiration
Yeah, his tutorials and studying his style helped me a lot especially when trying to navigate blender’s complicated interface!
been looking for a short tutorial similar to dedouzes artstyle for so long now, thank you! :D
Thank you for making such a simple, sweet, short tutorial! Love it!
Thank you!! Though it isn’t a full on tutorial I’m glad it helps!
Very helpful! This finally made the lighting thing click for me. Thanks!
Great
Wow thank you!!!❤❤❤ please dont delete this video forever❤
My man? I love this so much. It's so simple and easy. Not dragged out, just perfect. Love ya fam and thank you tor this
Thank you so much, glad that it helped!
@@mizukukun imma about to cry cause I just quicky made a blender sketch and due to your tutorial It looks amazing. Thank you man thank you.
there is a free and easy one click addon for adding outlines the way you showed call "outline helper" i recommend it alot
Ooh thank you so much! I’ll be sure to check that out.
Thank you! All I needed in one tutorial!
Très beau et j'aime beaucoup le fait que tu reconnaissent dans le commentaire l'inspiration de Dedouze. 🎉
This has been such an informative and to the point tutorial, thank you!
This is amazing, I am definitely going to experiment with this type of lighting!
Thanks so much for making this!!
Love this!!! Simple, straight to the point ans inspires me to create! Pumps me up to do my own creation
Such a soothing voice! The tutorial is super helpful too especially for beginners :)
wow its never too late to learn something new, thank u~
It looks great
I love the workflow! These grease pencil tutorials are amazing

Looks a lot like Dedouze's work
thank you for your simple fast good explanation
you should use a denoiser and high pass filter for the sound of video.
Ty for the audio feedback! I used da Vinci resolve’s high pass filter, I think my recording setup just needs work
Awesome! I loved your explaining method
Thank you so much!!
(if u can't find shader to rgb, u need to switch render engine to eeve)
Nice tutorial!
thanks a lot please make us more video on grease pencil and 2D IN BLENDER
May I ask how did you touch light option when you shading colorRamp? 1:24
Great video keep it up!
Thank you so much! 🙇♀️🫶
I still don't understand how to add the toon shader on a grease pencil object, like the gril and the flowers

is it possible to animate with blender's grease pencil?
Why its looks so complicated yet simple in creation? :p
👍
+sub, you sooo cool
I think females using blender have more simplified but powerful workdlow. Just my observation.
u could at least switch up the color pallet
Yeah, actually now that I’ve been able to get a little more used to the workflow for these sorts of pieces, the next animation I’m doing has a color palette more similar to my previous works :>

You can't do it completely for beginners, please ehehhehe

Hi, Good Explanatory Video, but may I know the duration of rendering?
Hi! I don't remember exactly how long, but definitely less than an hour.
@mizukukun okay, amazing work, to be honest. Keep Going
BTW, CAN WE MAKE SOME PROJECT TOGETHER? WOULD YOU LIKE THE IDEA? IF YOU ARE INTERESTED LET ME KNOW YOUR INSTAGRAM.
Thank you for sharing this! It's amazing! Greetings from Argentina!
