The Koenigsegg Regera is a limited production, plug-in hybrid grand touring sports car manufactured by Swedish automotive manufacturer Koenigsegg. It was unveiled at the March 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The name Regera is a Swedish verb, meaning "to reign" or "to rule." Koenigsegg plans to produce only 80 units of the car, all of which have been sold.
BUGATTI : The Bugatti Chiron is a mid-engine two-seater sports car designed and developed in Germany by Bugatti Engineering GmbH[6] and manufactured in Molsheim, France by French automobile manufacturer Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S.. The successor to the Bugatti Veyron, the Chiron was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show on 1 March 2016.The car is based on the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept car.
The car is named after the Monegasque driver Louis Chiron. The car shares the name with the 1999 Bugatti 18/3 Chiron concept car.

Acceleration wise, the agera wins, but if it's an endless straight road, the Bugattis top speed will catch up

Its actually the opposite. Acceleration wise the Bugatti wins but top speed wise agera overtakes. Because Bugatti is awd and agera is rwd. Over higher speeds awd has more frictional losses. This is why Chiron takes 42 sec for 0-400-0 but agera rs takes 37 seconds.
@@nishanthsuresh4166 yeah, but the Bugatti is a more prestige thing with luxury in abundance and a great place to sit, the noise and brutality of the Koenigsegg would become draining and tiresome, particularly on a longer journey.
@@neildisley7779 both are different kinds of cars though they both come under hypercar category. Bugatti is like a premium driving experience like it's not hard to drive it. Koenigsegg is more raw and is slightly challenging. Both good in their own ways.

@@markorlando9501 bruh, being luxury doesn't mean you have to weigh 2tons, buggati weighs so much because of their large engine, Koenigsegg on the other hand optimises the size of engine, and tries to strengthen and lighten every part at the same time.
Gemera is a luxury hyper gt for 4 people and weighs less than buggati while producing 1700hp

@@LXNGVXB Bugatti has better acceleration from 0 - 150 km/h, but the Koenigseggs go up from 200 - 400+ km/h. The Bugatti have a better start, but the Koenigsegg have greater acceleration to arrive at its maximum speed.

Nah, Chiron top speed is around 236 mph, with the speed key it's around 273 mph. Production version isn't hitting 300 anytime soon. Good luck finding a road that can go to 300 mph. First to 200-250 has always been more important. Topnspees is just to brag.

Koenigsegg Regera is a Hybrid GT therefore this isn’t a comparison, a real comparison would be an Agera or the new Jesko.
How does that work out? Is it because it is Hybridized? I think the Regera is the best fit because it is the closest thing to a Bugatti, that being a GT Mega car. A category that both of them share.

It is still a track capable car. Granted not to the degree of something like a Jesko but it is still capable.

The Chiron will most likely outpace the Regera in the 1/4 mile but go longer and the Regera will be the winner. Impressive they can achieve such performance with only 1 forward gear, the engineers at Koenigsegg really know what they're doing. Props to them for designing this novel transmission (or lack thereof).
Absolutely, even as a koenigsgeg fan they seem to be quite sluggish from a 1/4 mile since they were never intended for that purpose and therefore have linger gears. Doesn't help that its getting 1800 ho to the rear wheels too
