This is the first video on my channel of me getting stuck in an elevator. This is the second elevator that I got stuck in and had to get rescued. I was going to film a round trip on both freight elevators in this bank. These are essentially right next to the restrooms with no restricting signs. I took car 13 down to 1 and used the door stop to keep the doors from opening, reducing the chance of me getting busted during the video. Apparently, this appeared to the break elevator because it wouldn't move or open. I've heard that using door stop can do this, but I've never had it happen. I stopped the video to reduce suspicion when someone came to rescue me. I was only in the elevator for about 2 or 3 minutes after the video stopped before I was rescued. It turned out the doors were unlocked, because the security man that rescued me just pulled them open. I could have just opened the gate and doors and got out myself, but I didn't think of it. The security man didn't even realize that I was not an employee until I started to "explain how I ended up on the freight". Luckily, he didn't even care, and just directed me up the stairs to where I was going.

Lol, this is why I’m so scared of riding freight elevators. I’m Afraid I will get stuck, then get in trouble when I am rescued. Good video though.

@@AdazElevatorz you weren’t in trouble because no one cares if you ride freight elevators. The security doesn’t know everyone who works at the mall

We have a freight in each building where I work, and none of them have a door stop. Today after loading one, and shutting the door, and selecting a floor (3 of them have to have the door shut first before selecting a floor), it made that loud clunk sound before it moves, and it didn't go. About 4 seconds later it started to descend.

Now we know what can potentially stall this elevator! 😂 The door stop probably confused it for some reason & then it just gave out. I mean it shouldn’t confuse it that easily, but it’s a computerized controller. Any potential for a glitch can happen.

Doing that door trick that you did is exactly why I'm scared to do it.

@@AdazElevatorz Yea, I have done it on regular Elevators, NEVER works. I hear a lot of people doing it on freights, and I believe them that it works. Never tried it tho. (To scared)

These things are crappy. Sorry that it happened, but at least it wasn't too bad. Yeah I would have opened the gate & doors manually.
They're not that crappy.
Maybe not this specific car, but some of the other freights here are in MUCH worse shape.
