Identical to my 2011 CTS-V except for the suede steering wheel and recaro seats. Exterior is identical. Absolutely the best car I've ever driven, and that 6.2 is a scary, snarling beast. Love to hear that whine... Magnetic ride control suspension is awesome! LOVE this car!
lol I saw a guy at a gas station with this exact same car, I had my four year old boys with me too and they were screaming for a burnout and the guy did one. When he started it up it was pretty quiet, but when he got into it the engine and exhaust were loud as hell, and my god did he rip ass down the road. it was by far the best stock performing car I have ever seen! this was in suburbs of Detroit Michigan btw
Damn3691 yep! Hopefully the next generation will bite as bad as they claim it barks. I personally think this one's better looking than the one before it.
Im amazed at how nicely done the interior is. I mean I knew they were much better on the 09's, but the interior materials and fit are perilously close to an E63/M5. And in terms of design IMO it wins hands down.
Man I wish you could get these in Australia! a manual version just be perfect, everything about the car I love and what an amazing job the factory has done on that exhaust system! Awesome, awesome car
The CTS-V eats the Charger for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also handles a lot better because it has the magnetic dampers and it was tuned on the nurburgring. The CTS-V is a driver's car, the Charger is a poseur's car.
Amazing car! For those of you who say Cadillac is for old people, get a life! Younger people drive these cars and are proud to own them. Narrowing it down is very childish and immature.
I know this car inside out but I'm still watching this cus I love the car. I'm going to get one of these in the future in either black, pearl white or dark grey.
the knob to start it was the best thing they did because it gives the best of both worlds it has the keyless start while at the same time giving something to turn over to fire it up great job cadillac sometimes it's the little things
Cadillac is definitely not for old people like it once was. I'm 20 and I own the 2011 CTS and I love it. Wish it were the CTS-V but maybe that'll be next.
My 2011 cts v has only 6500 miles on it and my screen glitches out. It will turn on and raise up like normal but then the Cadillac emblem stays on and my radio stations won't show. Then it restarts and shows the name and station I'm on but not my favorites. Then it shuts the music off and restarts again then it's fine. I think it needs a software update.
It was my friend's dream car few years ago. His wife didn't like it because she used to think it is a car for old people. They ended with 2008 BMW M3 E90.
What is the difference between all years of 2nd gen cts-v's? Is there a year where one might say was the best and the most worth it? I want to know because I have seen comments here and there of a revised tranny for certain years or that one year had issues with the automatics but another certain year didn't etc. Can you all drop some knowledge down here please
@ 5:00 that knocking sound is the supercharger. Eaton or what ever designed it with loose fitting rotors for some reason. I dont remeber excactly why. But It had something to do with supercharger life and performance.
@NewbeFeaster Paddle shift is just about like shifting your auto while driving... it can give you an edge if you're a driving enthusiast.. I enjoyed using it on a Mercedes in the curves and it saves on all the unnecessary computer confusing shifts, it gives you more control and predictability
@claesnielsen its called the 2011 because thats the model year.....i believe cars have to be manufactured in a great enough quanity prior to their release so there will be enough to supply dealerships with.
@Forgoten214 a friend of mine has owned the previous gen. of the cts-v for over 3 years now, it is a 2004 model with the LS6 engine in it and he told me that he just cannot praise the car enough in many respects that goes, and compared to all the other cars he has owned before it was by far the best bargain he could think of, and he has owned primarily premium sport saloons from germany such as bmw m5, audi s6 etc. so i guess he knows that segment pretty well to cast judgment. greetings
@BlackMesaSecurity lots of soft touch materials inside the CTS Cabin,it's much nicer than previous GM products...they have really stepped their game up.
I love the cts-v I can't wait to own one someday. If I had to chose between the sedan coupe or wagon. I'd take the sedan the styling is so aggressive and sexy well done Cadillac they really have stepped up their game and so has Buick also awesome review Kyle
@poskyflyer Ummm no im not drunk...Im NOT talking about performance!!!! Im talking about overall QUALITY and FIT and FINISH, and yes iv drivin an M5 and been in the other two, and my brother just bought a SRX turbo so yeah i think i know what im talking about...but this is my OPINION.
The OnLy way to Rate a Cadillac is to go to the Manufacturing Plant. The 2011 CTS-V interior is the most Luxurious. Premium Leather seats and Touch Screen Navigational System.
@hazemvirus Okay, so give the CTS three more years to make it even. GM usually renews it's designs every three years anyway, so the 2012 CTS will probably be redesigned.
Get a sense of AMG-ness to this car. Cadillac really stepped up the game. This > M5. I still prefer a E63 though. But unless I have an extra 40k laying around, this is hard to beat.
@ATLNINJA82 Yea but it's not a high performance edition, it's just a longer Escalade. They are nice though but almost impossible to find parking for it. Especially in urban environments.
This is quite possibly the best American sedan period!
It's not my FAV American sedan period, but this is my FAV Cadillac period.

I love how those little red lights follow the needles on the gauges. Nice feature
"whistles" now THAT is one badass caddie !!
I own this exact year, model, color, optioned car. It's a blast!
Hi is there a version of this with 609 hp instead of the 556?
Bro I have this same year and model just not a V 😒
Man I wish you could get these in Australia! a manual version just be perfect, everything about the car I love and what an amazing job the factory has done on that exhaust system!
Awesome, awesome car
The Best in depth tour of a car that I have ever seen!!!! Great Job!!!
The CTS-V is one of the very few gm cars that I am REALLY fond of. This video is a perfect reason why.
Cadillacs are the best for interior and exterior, that's why I love them.
The CTS-V eats the Charger for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also handles a lot better because it has the magnetic dampers and it was tuned on the nurburgring. The CTS-V is a driver's car, the Charger is a poseur's car.
Makes me like mine more!
Thanks for sharing, I just love the CTS and of course The V. It's about 130K USD over here in Sweden.
how about now in 2021 lol
That's a sweet car. I'm glad Cadillac is finally making decent luxury sedans again!
Does it come with a 6-speed option too?
Amazing car!
For those of you who say Cadillac is for old people, get a life!
Younger people drive these cars and are proud to own them. Narrowing it down is very childish and immature.
I know this car inside out but I'm still watching this cus I love the car. I'm going to get one of these in the future in either black, pearl white or dark grey.
This car+glossy black color+second trim=one of the best and well respected 4 door cars(and well known) Who agrees?
I own that exact same car. 2011 silver CTS-V. Love it. I'v added a cold air intake and Corsa exhaust. So fun!
Do the key fobs come with remote start?
OMG,Thanks a million Kyle. This is one of my favorite cars. You did a great review . Man I wish I had a red one, :-)
the knob to start it was the best thing they did because it gives the best of both worlds it has the keyless start while at the same time giving something to turn over to fire it up great job cadillac sometimes it's the little things
One very fast car and great handling, too.
i never used to be find of cadillacs but this one is really good. Kyle you have converted me haha
Cadillac is definitely not for old people like it once was. I'm 20 and I own the 2011 CTS and I love it. Wish it were the CTS-V but maybe that'll be next.
Did you ever get the V?
btw, the engine is actually a Corvette ZR1's engine, thats why its amazing! :)
1337iNSPECTOR it has an LSA not a LS9, it would be cool, but sadly it doesn’t come from a Zr1
I have complete respect for GM's 100000% improvment in Quality.
why dont you mention the "easy exit" seating? its the button in between the two memory buttons.
Damn that sucks. The M3 is a fantastic car, just sucks he couldn’t get this dream car because of a stereotype
I like how there are lights that light up to match the tachometer needle.
@SlimBugga the key you use to start it is not removable, all you carry is a fob. Not sure why they didn't just make it a button.
Great video as always Kyle! Those CTS's are SWEET!
The coupe just looks over done. The sedan is perfect, people pull up thinking your gramps at the light. Then when it turns green you unleash 550hp.
I got a 2013 CTSV Sedan too in black diamond and red calipers. Love it. I hear the isolator rate in the video haha.
My neighbor just got a 2011 CTS-V coupe... It has the center ported exhaust.. This different on the sedan in the video... Coupe/sedan difference?
@gbnnn haha no maybe I misunderstood what u meant. I meant her car has electric steering instead of power steering
Awesome how the tach and speedometer needles "wipe" the red output lines to and away at 1:47!
Thanks for this, Kyle.
I watched your escalade esv plat too. For you which one do you like better the escalade esv or this? btw great vids i love them very informative =)
I'm in love with this car.
HEY KYLE CAN U DO A DEMONSTRATION ON THE PUDDLE LIGHTS ON THE CTSV IF U CAN THANKS
can't wait to test drive one. My dream car!
Beautiful design, supersedan rock!!
Can you do a Start Up, Exhaust, In Depth Tour and Test Drive of the 2011 Cadillac Escalade?
These Caddy's look gorgeous in dark grey or black. I like 10x over the coupe.
@ 5:00 that knocking sound is the supercharger. Eaton or what ever designed it with loose fitting rotors for some reason. I dont remeber excactly why. But It had something to do with supercharger life and performance.
How does easy exit seats work?
What was the other trim model you showed at the end? A very nice car, I want one. My mom has a 2006 CTS
@NewbeFeaster Paddle shift is just about like shifting your auto while driving... it can give you an edge if you're a driving enthusiast.. I enjoyed using it on a Mercedes in the curves and it saves on all the unnecessary computer confusing shifts, it gives you more control and predictability
Instead of suede I'd rather have leather on the seats and stuff.
Thats just me.
Another beautiful Caddy :)
@claesnielsen its called the 2011 because thats the model year.....i believe cars have to be manufactured in a great enough quanity prior to their release so there will be enough to supply dealerships with.
Excellent vid as always.
Is this a sport sedan?
Can you do the start up the SRX
My dad has one of these. Except in white with an optional decklid spoiler
Why have an analog clock?
Sweet channel still watching all your videos
what country is this car dealership???
Great Review! Great Car!
This car is a beast
the 2009-present Cadillac CTS-V is assembled in
Lansing, Michigan, United States
I have a newfound respect for Cadillac
Man this thing is incredible! Love it!!
what is easy exit?
@DarnLevel what is your car
@koioo2 I think Cadillac is starting to make performance cars now to better compete with Mercedes and BMW which offer performance versions.
Nice, I love this car. One of my favorite modern Saloons money can buy. It's so awesome. I'd buy it over the E63 and M5.
Just my opinion. =)
I love the cts-v I can't wait to own one someday. If I had to chose between the sedan coupe or wagon. I'd take the sedan the styling is so aggressive and sexy well done Cadillac they really have stepped up their game and so has Buick also awesome review Kyle
this caddy is super clean!!
I know right?!
I WILL have that ride!!
Reesie Jenkins Nice best of luck
I agree, I would also add the Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Charger.
no third pedal? not for me lol...but im choosing this over the chevy ss
What you refer to as suede is actually a material called alcantara.
I have this on driver San Francisco.
Same
you should try to find those mazda mpv's
Cadillac must be the best american manufacturer in terms of quality and design. they look good, not plasticy like other american cars
I love Cadillac's especially the CTS-V and Escalade :D
And nice souns engine...
@CoreyForeside ya but last year they changed it AND this year the M5 will come out around september
@RinevaSX Great Gauge Sweep huh?
where's the sunroof?
These cars are beautiful!!!
i love my cts-v best car ever!!!!
sooooooooo much nicer than the previous cts
@poskyflyer Ummm no im not drunk...Im NOT talking about performance!!!! Im talking about overall QUALITY and FIT and FINISH, and yes iv drivin an M5 and been in the other two, and my brother just bought a SRX turbo so yeah i think i know what im talking about...but this is my OPINION.
Now that is one fast ( + awesome) sedan!
one day am gonna have this car. no matter what
The OnLy way to Rate a Cadillac is to go to the Manufacturing Plant. The 2011 CTS-V interior is the most Luxurious. Premium Leather seats and Touch Screen Navigational System.
Yeah I prefer this over the M5 anyday. The intensity of this car reminds me of the muscle car days, except this one can take a corner real good.
is it wrong that i like the sedan better than the coupe
@hazemvirus Okay, so give the CTS three more years to make it even. GM usually renews it's designs every three years anyway, so the 2012 CTS will probably be redesigned.
I’m seeing some v moda like touches in the interior. They should both sponsor each other
Do one on the WAGON please.
Best luxury car you can buy!!!!! everything all in one ;)
Get a sense of AMG-ness to this car. Cadillac really stepped up the game. This > M5.
I still prefer a E63 though. But unless I have an extra 40k laying around, this is hard to beat.
Incredible car!
@ATLNINJA82
Yea but it's not a high performance edition, it's just a longer Escalade. They are nice though but almost impossible to find parking for it. Especially in urban environments.
you need to do a video on a 2011 dodge ram 3500
