I really hope they get rid of the winner reset, just make it a two round match. I understand why it’s there, but 9/10 times it’s Magnus just getting a massive advantage
That's the point. It's double elimination tournament. Every else lost a match and still had a chance. Wouldn't be fair if Magnus didn't.
Double elimination would only be fair if every single player have a reset. That also includes Magnus

Did you pay any attention to the games? He was crushed in one game, then his opponent just blundered and got an advantage in the opening in the other with a novelty due to prep. Computer isn't helping with either of those situations
Are you purposely dense? Alireza just got done playing in the Candidates, for the second time in a row, with the best players in the world. Just because he's not world champion doesn't mean he's cheating online.

@@stevejones799 Then explain to me how he played so well and so fast even when he is on time pressure?? if he is really cheating, he can't play that fast and he has to look away, but he doesn't, all he does is stare at the chess board. And the reason why(one of the reason) he did so bad in candidate is that he can't focus just like Gukesh, even he admitted and a lot of people agreed.
