Well, i'm going to have to completely disagree on this one. I own the OG. I wanted to give this one a run to see how it compared. I was expecting to be completely underwhelmed; however, I must've gotten the golden goose because it's 90-95% spot on all the way through. I've worn them for three days straight: one on each hand. The primary difference is that the Dua is just a bit stronger in the opening but not as bright with that amazing grapefruit in the creed. Even the transitions are very close. I think some of you boys need to stop snorting and get your nose healthy. I'm almost kicking myself that I bought the OG.
Man, I appreciate the honesty about the DUA. I am very disappointed in it. To me it doesn't even smell that close. Definitely get cheap syntheticness out of it. Almost that burnt "Dua funk" smell from it that I haven't gotten from a Dua in a long time. I'll be getting rid of it. I have Montagnes version on the way and will be excited to see feedback on Alexandria's version too.

I think DUA's goal is to give you their inspired version and not a duplicate version. I go to Alexandria Fragrances for a more accurate or atleast 93% closeness.
Thanks for the review Juan! My experience with Duas, I usually have to let them sit for a while before they are ready to wear. Maybe that may be the case with this one as well. I just got a bottle in the mail today and will probably let it sit for at least a month.
That's totally understandable. But according to dua maceration is needed. That's the rub. I would give them a pass of it was posted on the label. It's almost false advertising

Tried lots of dua and I have to say I was disappointed. Going to stick with Fragrance world and Alexandria.
DUA should know better by now. They need to get it to 99%. I think they'll do a reformulation but won't tell us about it.

TO BE HONEST THE DUA DOESN'T SMELL BAD BUT ITS DEFINITELY SMELLS DIFFERENT COMPARED TO NEW AVENTUS I WOULD SAY 71% CLOSE THATS ABOUT IT

I bought the dua version and just letting sit for a few week's before actually testing it " because honestly none I've purchased from them " all needed more time to mature. Lol lol lol 🤣 😀 since they always have a tendency of rushing fragrances out ! ( hopefully in two or three months it will be 100 percent accurate) and honestly I would have just preferred Creed doing a Aventus extrait"
Would have definitely got a better reception from the Creed fans in my opinion.
Great point on the Creed. I'll say it again. Dua Ferociously denies that there Fragrances need maceration. If we are to support dua we need them to be way more transparent

@InscentiveAdvice you must not have been around long enough. It's been stated by Dua several times. I'm not going to screeshot or keep up with all the comments from dua and the group. I just don't care enough to or have the time. You might now that but a person not as well versed as me in Fragrances is who I'm speaking to.

I literally have hundreds of them... "who in their right mind?" Idk maybe someone with a $100k fragrance collection looking to save money and smell a bunch of things at once. Btw I love like 75% of my blind buy purchases and no they r not expensive at all. 30% off deals constantly put there bottles at like 40 bucks. I spent $25 on junk food the other day at the gas station so yea 30 to 40 bucks for a fragrance is not expensive.

Their is a lot of hate and lately some of it justified with the trend by dua to appease the small ladies Gourmand crowd and ignoring their core customers. But I love dua and I'm grateful for them. My journey with Fragrances would of been totally different
@@fatboyfragrancereviews9716 ya, I was the one that recently complained in the FB DUA group about all the gourmands, edible, feminine type of fragrances. I've been gone from DUA for a good minute and I come back and it's totally geared towards females. I love DUA as well but I'm definitely not behind all the feminine gourmandy type fragrances. I love my masculines.
