The flags in the wood boxes are casket flags. You will notice they are longer and narrower than standard flags. Usually given to families of those who have served our country.

That was a pretty amazing yard sale and the prices where very good too. I think I would have bought the two cases for the flags, even though one had the broken glass. That fire Hydrant looked crazy heavy, regardless I would have bought it for $50.00! I definitely would have gotten a hernia! 😅 What great finds!
I ended up buying the one flag box just not the one with the broken glass. It was an amazing sale!

I used to work for a fire protection company, and I got two hydrants that had to be replaced. one was the size you got, and the other was larger.
I had them for Years in my back yard, as decoration and finally sold them a couple of years ago on marketplace for $85.00 each. Both went to Fire Fighters. I thought that was interesting.
The sale was great, the people were amazing. I didn’t realize how many people had them in their backyards.
I would have got that hydrant. A friend of mine made a water feature near his swimming pool Water was pouring out of the hydrant. It looked really cool.

I bought a fire hydrant years ago, I took out the left plug, ran a garden hose under the groundand use it to water my plants. When people see me using it, they think it's really hooked up. The lion is not made of copper, but of bronze, if in a pair, 2,000.00 easy, alone..half or less. I guess for me unfortunately, I own many of the same things as at that sale. I'm sure when I pass, my children will sell it for pennies on the dollar, such as they did. My cigar store Indian is 7 and a half feet tall, well over 100 years old. Keep the fire hydrant, and do what I did. Great video young man.
Edited: I'm thinking I best have my tag sale, and get the money out of it before my kids do.😉

I might have bought the fire Hydrant. Sometimes my eyes are bigger than my brain. I picked up a blue toilet on the side of the road for free. Sold it for $200, but it took a year. Worth it? I guess as long as you have the space to store it.
It’s just the fact of moving it around and it’s so damn heavy.

It was a crazy sale. The crazy thing was that it was the second day of the sale. I can’t imagine what kind of items they had on day one.

Fire helmets can be a slow mover. Yellow Bullard more slow. $40 /$60. Black ones sell better - closer to $100 at times Be sure to put Retired or Decor in listing. I would have bought the hydrant also.

It was put down for a minute to stop the broken glass from falling out. We meant no disrespect by it. I immediately removed it when I noticed it. Luckily the comments have been understanding regards it.

At your age and in your shape, I absolutely would have bought the fire hydrant. At 52 and in pitiful shape, probably not! 😂 I don't know, though, for $50, even at fat and 52, I still might have done it....

Why is there never anyone else at the yard sales you go to?? I live in CT. I would be surrounded by other resellers at that sale . Plus none of that stuff would still be there by 9am. I wish I had that much time to peruse and consider. I have to grab and hope or it’s gone.. These videos make me laugh..
There was another guy at this sale when I was there. He even grabbed a couple items that I was looking at. The craziest thing is this was the 2nd day of this sale. I didn’t get there until after 10am too.

Unfortunately, I did. Normally I would of scooped that up, but this one was damage. There was a rip on the back of it and the back strapped was ripped out of the hat.

Great question. I ended up cutting out this part of the conversation. I wanted to buy them. They are having a professional appraisal company look at them first before they sell them.
