This team will never look past anyone as long as Baker is leading it. He only has ONE speed, and it's contagious.
Just me, but I'd be leaning into the Darrell Mouse Davis playbook for the run game (lots of draws, screens, etc) off of play action as opposed to smash mouth because it looks so much like the pass. The short passing game works well already, why mess with it?
I was thinking that Bowles may struggle to find 17 different ways to say “It’s exciting!” this season, and you don’t want that sort of thing to get stale, so maybe he could bring in The Nature Boy, Rick Flair, as a guest emoter one of these weeks.
I tried to squeeze it in on the live but I was too far behind:
Baker is very durable: he has only missed two games due to injury (another one due to COVID) in 6+ seasons (with 4 ganes in 2 playoff runs added). The biggest problem in 2021 was that Baker got hurt and KEPT playing hurt.
I think losing his starting job at Texas Tech due to injury scarred him. The Browns shouldve stepped in after JJ Watt grabbed him by the ankle from behind and Baker landed squarely on his injured shoulder in week 6 (they were 3-3 with that loss, after a 3-1 start).
Soon after that is when the Beckham Sr. drama blew up. Once they got rid of OBJ, Baker had an immaculate game in Cincinnati where they just whipped The Bengals. The following week the Patriots just smashed Baker into the turf all day and he hurt his knee. So the end half of that season he had a bum knee and a bum shoulder and looked terrible...but they kept playing him until week 16🤷
Coincidentally enough: one of the two games he has missed injured in his career was against the Broncos! Case Keenum (who also QBd the Broncos! 😂) stepped on and won a Thursday night game the week after Watt reinjured his shoulder.

You joked about "running a QB option". When's the last time you saw an OC call for a QB-Draw play? (At least with a QB who isn't known to be a great runner.) Coen may be just getting started regarding outside-the-box play calling. I REALLY HOPE he continues to add creativeness to our O. He's also already putting 2 similar style RBs out there together. Next stop... 3rd and inches hand-off to Calijah Kancey. :-)
