Honestly, the Sam/Jack relationship has been a testament to the phrase "If you truly love someone, let it go." It's rather beautiful that neither was willing to let the other sacrifice their decorated careers for them so that kinda put them into a stalemate until finally they just decided to go separate ways, acknowledging their own feelings yet also acknowledging they simply couldn't be together due to the rules of their occupation (Military regs are very strict on fraternization). Jack didn't want to see Carter sacrifice her career as a decorated soldier and gifted astrophysicist, Sam didn't want Jack to sacrifice his own decorated career and they knew it would hurt the relationship if they sacrificed their own career for the other too.

It is very intentional, even the camera goes in to show the very important file sliding of course...not😂. And I don't know if this is just an extra detail or coincidence but he touches her left hand with his right one and back at the threads episode she uses her left hand to grab his right hand while he was being there for her.❤ they were so together after that. In beginning of season 8 she even shuts down that flirty agent again, by saying she broke up with Pete but isn't really single. And a bit later in season 9 or 10 when she is badly injured she let's Cam know about the private file on her laptop just in case she doesn't make it out alive. Told him the password is "fishing"....I mean Jack and Sam are never shown together but with all their moments and countless hints I think the writers managed to portray an exceptionally beautiful love story including an happy end. The more I think about it I come to the realization that this was actually an amazing way to tell their love story because it was all about showing the merely countless reasons and moments why they fall in love and how much they admire, respect and love each other. I think that is exactly what their special bond deserved, showing all that throughout the series instead of the cliche being together scenes everyone including me was hoping for. And in a way I think the writers even helped us imagine those parts of them too with all the alternative timeline/dimension/dream sequences where they showed just that. So it is all there. I am thankful their love story was told this way, not taking away from the main plot but instead very organically adding an incredible love so subtle but yet so beautiful it won our hearts even though we never saw the obvious.❤ Jack and Sam #always

What is wrong with Pete calling her at the SGC, interrupting her work for a stupid flower problem??? But in a way, I'm glad this happened because I believe in that scene Jacob finally realizes there's something going on with her daughter and... Jack...
everyone including Carter hates Pete, if you didn't notice she uses every excuse in the book to avoid Pete including the I'm at work excuse which means I am busy so please don't call. Plus personal calls to a military base are not accepted or allowed

really a personal call in a top secret military base it is so real it would never happen but my theory of a video game player of the internet and brought it down as this
I am not sure what you're getting at here, but if you're saying it's unlikely she would have gotten that call... well I mean, she's a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force. She ain't no Airman :P. She probably has a view perks.
I assume this scene was supposed to be in the Threads episode conference room scene, correct? For some bizarre reason both Netflix and Amazon Prime completely left it out. *angry emoji*
@@tkai1821 so since making my original comment I have discovered that if you watch the show on Amazon or Netflix, they have taken our certain scenes out of Children of the Gods (first episode) and Threads (this episode). Apparently both those episodes were 90 minutes when they aired originally but were cut down to about 44 minutes on the streaming services. I don't know why, I suspect licensing issues might be involved. Supposedly on the dvds you can watch the full episodes with all the scenes that were deleted out.
@@tkai1821 so I don't recommend seeking out the clips on RUclips, this wasn't the only scene that was cut out and the other scenes will be harder to find. I think the easiest way to watch the whole thing will probably be getting the dvds but you don't have to buy them. If you have a public library and a library card, they probably have all the seasons on dvd, I know mine does. Just watch the episodes and return them without having to buy the dvds unless you want to.
I haven't seen the cut version in awhile. In terms of Sam/Jack, there is this scene, a little more of right before Carter went to Jack's and that's it. There's more Sam/Pete, Sam/Pete/Jacob and Jack/Kerry stuff. Also some Teal'c/Bra'tac scenes and Daniel/Ancient scenes. I HIGHLY recommend the full version.
I know this comment is very old but where can people find this full version? The streaming services don't have it and they even cut this particular scene out. :(
Anyone else feel the Pete storyline was just cause they were running out of background plots by this stage? He came in suddenly and disappeared equally as suddenly but she was meant to marry the guy?? Just was a weak gap-filler.
Okay, so Carter is having a phone call with a civilian while Tok'ra and Jaffa are discussion top secret military issues that civilians are not supposed to know about in the background? So, her fiancé might just ask what is means that "there are still many Goua'ould who remain a threat"?!

I actually didn't hate Pete and thought it very big of him to help when Teal'C was in trouble. But it's pretty obvious that Sam/Jack were meant to be endgame and someone like Pete was nowhere within Sam's league. He was a nice guy but a cop and could never understand the type of life Sam lead and eventually, he would've felt like he was in her shadow and she would have been frustrated that she couldn't share the innermost parts of her life with him, something she could easily do with Jack. Even if they had gotten married, I doubt Sam and Pete would've lasted because they were worlds apart, literally.
So... Video who is only scenes from an episode of Stargate... Posted on RUclips... Needs the author who posted it the credits as "producer", on screen. Do you need attention so much? Thanks for sharing content anyway, but seriously? Because i have recorded episodes from Stargate on VHS back in my days, i can take some scenes from it, and considerate i do a job as producer, editor, financer... If i do some job to share it, and avoir a strike? Bah... i know what it is to be a shipper. Not for them, but for other series / anime / situation. So, good sample i guess. The most hilarious thing about the relationship with Pete is when they literally mocked that during the episode with Dan Castellaneta. And having almost all the "DeLuise family" working on Stargate is funny when you think about it. I'm also curious about one thing: why didn't you mention the fact that Jack saying it like that is voluntary a double sword, because "picking some flowers" means going to bathroom, so he basically said underlined, "go to pee" (go away)... But i guess it's useless to mention it.

A sign from the writer even though subtle as always, came just in the next episode after threads in the beginning they are in a briefing and when sam slides over the missions file Jack touches her hand.
I am thankful their love story was told this way, not taking away from the main plot but instead very organically adding an incredible love so subtle but yet so beautiful it won our hearts even though we never saw the obvious.❤
Jack and Sam #always
carter's eyessss. they beam right into your soul. jack was dying to quit and just marry sam on the spot
Hahahah Jacob! xD
I loved the acting in this scene. Amanda is such a cutie!
Love Jack x Sam..S7/S8 really focused a lot on their relationship. Hate Pete but he did lead to good angsty scenes for the pairing
I love Sam's look to her Dad. Soooooooo happy she never married Pete!! If only we could see Sam & Jack together. I feel bad for Jack having to go through the whole wedding thing...
Haha, Jacob for the win.
It was released on the newer editions of the DVD box set (the early editions had the cut version). Also, the longer version is what Syfy had initially aired and it was later cut for syndication. Any on-line sleuthing should get you the original longer version with the "deleted scenes".
Then, according with the creator of the Universe and an extended scene
(still considered canon) in Season 3 of Atlantis Carter and Jack ARE
dating!
Which extended scene? Please i gotta know this :)
@@The_Captain_1.0 If you look up "SGA S4 deleted scene" on RUclips it should pop up.
Jacob knows what he did ,,,,lol
Sam’s reaction to when Jack says “go pick flowers”. She’s like a little taken aback by it.
I always wondered what tealc and especially bratac had might’ve thought about that moment
"What?" That was such a dad maneuver...
Raven24 Unless you’ve saved the galaxy a couple of times, then your boss gives you break. Like here, for instance. They’re meeting to discuss how to deal with a galactic superweapon amidst a delicate new galactic political paradigm, a meeting that, despite its informality, could well be one of most important meetings in the Milky Way for centuries. So O’Neill lets Carter pop off to pick flowers with her fiancé. Naturally.
Best. Boss. EVER.
Jacob knew that Sam is ment to be with Jack...he was a sly dog.
1:25 Dammit Jakob, Sam was prorcastiworking there!
"What?" Every man says that to the women close to him, whether it be sister, daughter, wife, girlfriend....... ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How often has Jacob/Selmak had to deal with SG1 shenanigans ("I am the great and powerful Oz")? It's nice to see him dish it out as well.
he asked her about 1000 times to go fish with him, every time she refuses, that will slow way down things hhhhh
Jack looks dead inside, lol.
O.M.G thanks SO much. I'm gonna try to watch it NOW! Can't wait!!!
if this episode was originally 90 minutes how did it end up at 45 minutes long

Jack and Sam #always
love the fact that Peter Deluise is stealing the scene in the background!
“Mm..” *clears throat* “…yes?”
there's nothing like parents, they can embarrass you no matter how old you are
Can we find the deleted scenes????
@smokyburr yes Peter Deluise is theairman but it is his younger brother David Deluise who plays the character Pete
Wow thanks for the info! :) I'll try to find the longer version then. But by any chance do you know if the cuts included some scenes between Sam and Jack?
did u find it ??
I can imagine Selmack giving a head slap and saying "you are dimwitted... you know that right?"
good old passive aggressiveness!
which episode is this actually?
How come this scene isn't in the episode I just watched on Netflix?
really a personal call in a top secret military base it is so real it would never happen but my theory of a video game player of the internet and brought it down as this
I am not sure what you're getting at here, but if you're saying it's unlikely she would have gotten that call... well I mean, she's a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force. She ain't no Airman :P. She probably has a view perks.
I assume this scene was supposed to be in the Threads episode conference room scene, correct? For some bizarre reason both Netflix and Amazon Prime completely left it out. *angry emoji*
Thanks God! I thought it was me the problem cause I didn't remember that scene! >
@@ilurvemv but it sucks =/ hopefully we can watch some of the cut scenes on RUclips, but still...
I thought I was insane because I just finished the series and didn't remember this scene! Sad that they took some things out.
Do you know this times, when you want to kill your father, just because he is, like he is?
I think Carter did!. ^^
P.S. : I miss the Series.
Carter always had the hots for O'Neill.
They cut it down. The longer version is better.
where we an see the longer version ??
do u have this whole original episode? b/c it was a 90 min. ep. and then they edited down to 1 hr for the dvds and I don't have it.
if looks could kill lol that look on sam's face:)
@@ilurvemv It's on Dailymotion in 2 parts ;)
Oh Carter... Jack likes you, but you keep picking up daises.
Anyone else feel the Pete storyline was just cause they were running out of background plots by this stage? He came in suddenly and disappeared equally as suddenly but she was meant to marry the guy?? Just was a weak gap-filler.
I really disliked Pete. There were so many other guys they could have used as the distraction from Sam and Jack.
Jacob: UMAD?
Pete and Sam were a bad match but Carter really did him dirty by not just being honest with him up front.
Okay, so Carter is having a phone call with a civilian while Tok'ra and Jaffa are discussion top secret military issues that civilians are not supposed to know about in the background? So, her fiancé might just ask what is means that "there are still many Goua'ould who remain a threat"?!
Здравствуйте Саманта, я Вам не дописала, что я родилась 1977 году планета земля галактика млечный путь, а сообщение отправила между 2019 и тирэ 1018 надо разобрать что там происходит. Благодарю Вас , за то что вы есть.
The producers didn't work this love. It would have been great, if they had the wisdom to do it.
it was already great imho, Jack x Sam romance was handled in a more subtle way and I like that
Luv this scene !!! ♥
Really Pete was a great, nice guy and he wouldn’t be hated if people didn’t ship Sam and Jack so much. Which I ship them very hard!
What's to love? He stalked sam for crying out loud! He was creepy and manipulative.
If looks could kill :D
Its Pete i feel sorry for, clearly he never had a chance...
11 and 22 ⭐
Thanks
Dad fucked up.
Carter should have married him. Would have make a great story line.
Married Jack you mean? agree
urgent my ass
Goddamn shipping
What??? 🤭
Who down votes this ??
Jack:go ahead, pick flowers
Carter: ugh thats soo sexist! *storms off*
Jacob "Its ok, i got this. *runs after her*
