Your Home ist Like a church, spirituell Very cosy.....I was in Ireland Last Week Ist was so beautiful and soulfull Loveley greetings and Blessings For you and Jack
During the conquest of Genghis Khan 40 million were killed. History is frought with waves of destruction. One cannot help but wonder where it all began. Perhaps we are at a time of collective healing from generations of loss. One of the most rewarding ways is to grab hold of Mother nature's hand and co-create the marvelous garden that nourishes the body, soul & spirit...you're onto something much greater than can be possibly imagined, or maybe it can!
What an evolutionary time to be alive! As co-creators we have th choice to create restoration or destruction! Those who nurture our Mother will ascend. I am so very grateful for you, you are a special lady! Lovelight, gratitude and blessings sistar
So true Colette. Bealtaine Cottage never ceases to amaze me. I just wish I could give you some of the rain we are getting. It's getting to be just a bit too much!
I totally agree that our consciousness affects what we see. My life has changed in such a positive way because of this belief system. Thanks for the insights Colette!🍄🧚♀️🌳🌷
Your woodland area..so very magical. And here I sit in Delhi in blazing 42 degrees centigrade with 70per cent humidity and watching this video.... It all looks so soothing, inspiring and brings back the quiet and into my life. Much needed at this point at many levels...so thank you for that! Bless you...and your natural fernery.
Your garden is so beautiful! I am in the south west US. Very dry but I am from east of the Mississippi. I grew up with fluffy green trees and lots of flowers. My grandparents were gardeners and great appreciators of beauty.
I love your videos and your way of life Your plants are amazing so healthy and natural I did read somewhere that we should not grow food in tyres for us to consume as the rubber is poisonous for us not sure how much truth there is in that I will have to do some more research into it but love the fact you are using them to grow plants in 😊
We have two miniature donkeys. Ours are rescues. Get to know them. They are very old souls. Ours are the Guru's of JAZ Farm. I would have many more if money were not an object. They are the friendliest creatures on earth.
Ash trees shedding immature seeds excessively could be a sign of stress the tree is going through rather than a sign of fertility or abundance. It could be due to some infestation or a systemic problem. It could be so critical that the tree goes into overdrive to produce the most seeds that hopefully would carry its genes forward before it dies, but the seeds cannot cope with it, and drop prematurely.
There’s no denying that your garden is blessed with the abundance of nature. It’s just that I’ve observed this kind of problem in my own garden (semi-arid zone in southern India where temperatures can go up to 42°C in the peak of summer) where sometimes a healthy plant or tree will show signs of stress. I didn’t mean to be pessimistic about it. I thought the fact that I stated would serve as a pointer if you wanted to look into it. By the way, I watch your videos keenly every time they’re uploaded. They’re an inspiration for me.
Oh my word! That Sammy Bear is definitely giving you his most disapproving face. That is so funny I could not stop laughing. Bless his little heart. That is the most beautiful clematis I have ever seen. The ferns have really inspired me to try to grow some. My winters are not as harsh as yours so I should be able to grow them. I hope. I love the hat💖
I'm watching your older videos because my soul requires it. I know about Sammy Bear now and am very sad. He was gorgeous. I don't have a doggie but would love a big one. I have 5 feline girlies and 2 feline boys. They are my best friends. Love you Sis. Death is scarey (I'm 64) but ya know inevitable! One of these days they'll have a garden too and won't be house bound anymore.
Maggy Wilson I told Colette on another video that I loved to watch her older videos with the cats to see them outside because my cats don't go out but I love to watch cats outside...also a cat curled up inside sleeping is also very cozy and nice to see too. I miss those adorable cats but love Colette and Jack and their recent videos too.
Poor Sammy Bear has got the right hump bless him . Thank you Colette for the beautiful video as usual . Your gardens are truly magical . I was saying to my friend the other day that I have never seen my garden in all the 14 years that iv lived here like this year . I have literally 100s of Aquilegia seedlings all over the garden as well as other seedlings and my fruit trees ...... well they are only 2 years old some of them and they have grown so so much this year . I’m talking feet . In fact my garden is so abundant i can no longer see through the plants . Next door to me in the field there are so many Field Maple saplings that I couldn’t even begin to count them . I have never seen a year like it . I’m in Kent in England by the way . Blessings to you all xxxx
So peaceful and relaxing for me to watch this evening, as it was a long, vexing day in Nashville with one daughter for out patient surgery. Husband asked the other night while we were watching a video of yours, do you not have snakes in your area? As always, I appreciate all your efforts and all the inspiration that I receive and ideas I am working on. In Joy
Hi Vivian, there are no snakes in Ireland because during the Ice Age, Ireland and England were too freezing to be suitable habitats for cold-blooded reptiles such as snakes. Approximately 10,000 years ago when the glaciers melted the land mass emerged connecting Europe, England and Ireland, allowing for migration. However, snakes never made it as far as Ireland which was divided by the sea. So the legend that St. Patrick banished the snakes is an allegory for paganism which St. Patrick “banished” when he brought the Catholic religion to Ireland.
Oh my goodness, I can understand how difficult it must be for you. I really don't think I could cope and would have to move! I now live in England where we have only three types, the green snake, grass snake and adder. The adder is the only poisonous one. As a child I lived in Singapore and there were some nasties there also. You'd better move to Ireland!
We have a collection here in the southeast of the US. 4 are the dangerous type. To garden successfully, one must learn to live with them. That means no food sources available. Garden with cats and dogs that are the most excellent snake monitors. Stay in the garden each day. Do clean ups after and before frosts with heavy growth areas like Bealtaine has. shrubs down after blooming every 3 years.... inspecting for snake dens under them or if you notice one has moved in.... this for poisonous ones.... the non poisonous ones..... i live with happily. Oh i left out the hawk. The big red tail females are my favorite. they are the guardians of my garden ....forever watchful... big black crows.... they make loud announcements of a dangerous MR. NO LEGS entering in. Its a group effort.... non poisonous ones are tolerated well by all.
It's so true about births. I studied ecology at university and we learnt how the birth ratio of each the sexes changes depending on the amount of each sex already in the population!
Did you know that in. the ocean, if a school of Emperator Angel fish has no males, a female will change sex? Have you seen the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know"? All about what you are talking about.
i love that you occasionally share your outfits - such fun style you have and whimsical too.

The flowers in front of the cottage are so pretty!

I prefer the 'glass half full' theory, as it is more compatible to everything else that is happening here...the bigger picture so to speak.

When a tree goes to seed (because of stress) it's Nature's way of saying "No no no my cup runneth over!"

Poor Sammy. He's going to be playing Johnny Cash songs on an harmonica any moment now. :)
Laughing...still laughing...can just imagine that
I have the same clusters of seedlings in Montreal Canada!
Cats can give the most nasty looks when you make them mad.

So beautiful !! Do you grow hollyhocks.
There may be one or two in the gardens that may yet show themselves.
:-)
I'm a Viet Nam era spinster. Sucks.
