Been running Shadow Systems guns for a while now and owned an Echelon for a time, always wanted something that was the best of both worlds. Ruger might be able to deliver that. I know they're considered more the "everyman's gun company" than serious tactical considerations compared to Smith and Glock (I'm sure they exist but I haven't heard of any LE agencies issuing Rugers) but the several Rugers I've owned over the years have all been high quality and most importantly reliable. Plus Ruger has some amazing customer service, arguably the best in the business. I'm actually looking forward to this. Plus it's only $500!
Springfield, SIG and Ruger now all have the same set-up except that sig and spring have proprietary parts and Ruger for the most part doesn't since you can use nearly anything from Glock so community already there. Springfield still has to build it up if they even care. This becomes more of a thing for Ruger and maybe we will see flux and others doing the same thing for it like SIG. Springfield doing the waiting game instead of having companies make stuff. Let's see
Best looking Ruger 9mm yet. And if buying a Glock clone, I prefer an American made gun with a history of quality and stellar customer service, Ruger fills the bill.
Wow. Trying to put a shine on a nothing burger! Sig has had modularity for over 10 years (P250, P320, P365) and Ruger farming out the frame work from the beginning, hoping that will get attention. Worse part is the fawning over it like anything is special. Cue the “Is this the Glock killer?” comments….
I have always been a ruger fan but i went heavy into glock for the support of basic items, like cheap mags and holsters and threaded barrels. So i dont know if i should laugh and be disappointed in ruger or if i should be happy and buy one.
"I don't know of any other gun that has that." Apparently, Sig's polymer line of pistols with models that have been America's official military sidearm for years now just....slipped their minds? 😂
An easily missed point, but he did say "Gen 3 pattern" meaning all the Glock clones flooding the market, to which yes I don't think there are any other modular Glock pistols quite yet
Funny thing is… Ruger just made a Glock with a chassis system before Glock made a Glock with a chassis system.

The Springfield Echelon has that same setup.

still love my Daggers but... these are excellent features!
So, I should just wait for the 17 round frame.
A Ruger P80.

Aftermarket metal grip frames can be made for the new Ruger RMX pistol. Due to the frame insert serialized trigger group.
New ruger pistol! And we're modular 😮 a modular ruger! Yes
The American pistol could have been modular, it was a 10 year old FCU design

ZEV OZ9 has a chassis. It's been out for years.
Looks like it shoots good
I’d rather have it without the optics cut but I’ll take this from Ruger
3d printer go brrrrrr
So, Ruger finally has a chassis system. Welcome to the present. 👍🔥
They had the American pistol with an FCU for almost 10 years.
Where have you been?

@piela650 gotcha. I did miss that part indeed. Thanks for setting me straight.
I think Zev has one at like over a K
Ruger's new Dagger?
Magpul should have sold stripped Gen 3 frames years ago
Looks great! Do we really need another 9mm?
Sooooo since Magpul makes grips and stocks, a Flux raider-ish thing maybe ?🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Does it take Glock magazines?
yes
Yeah but does it take Glock magazines?!?!
Yes it does 🎉
My god do people actually think these beards look good? Beards have become pumpkin spice lattes for men
There is nothing "game changing " about an expired glock patent clone with a P320 rip off chassis.
eh
Unimpressed. Trying to make a Glock. No thanks.
Not excited about another glock clone. Only ruger pistol i own is 1911. All their other stuff is ugly
Hot take - nobody cares about glock clones
Just another plastic Glock copy that come a dime a dozen.
