Absolutely love that slow pan left from inside the truck after we thought it was a static shot. Getting huge OA vibes from this for some reason! Nice work man
thanks dude!

let me know if you want a behind the scenes breakdown on this one.
thanks for watching!
beware of the lamp.
My gosh! Yes what kind of question is that? ♥️🥵
Breakdown, please. Aso, I noticed you practice implementing "insert" shots.
Wow!A lot of teaching moments here. I hope you'll enjoy making a BTS to this little video! I look forward to it!
Yes & Please!
Abso-flipping-lutely mate show us everything.
I got so many vibes from prisoners! Which is great. I love the Short Film!!! Keep doing this amazing work
Gues I wasn't the only one who thought of Prisoners.
Mindblowing how you've already implemented a lot of the stuff you've learned, tried yourself and taught us over the last few videos in your own project. The lamp that adds color and warmth to it, the shots with extreme shallow depth of field like Fraser's cinematography in The Batman, the Villeneuve-like inserts that give the whole piece an incredibly dark and uneasing mood and tonality. Love the panning shot inside of the car and a BIG ❤️ for the A24-styled thumbnail.
EDIT: of course we want to see behind the scenes!
thanks Michele! appreciate you watching.
You're welcome!
Needs more lamps!
I love this Patrick! I can tell that every shot was carefully planned. Huge inspiration
This is really inspiring stuff! Love the way you use the longer shots, inserts and focusing together with the music to build the tension. Keep up the great work
Beautiful cinematography loved. Loved everything!! Great Job !! You should be very proud.
That car panning shot... and the sound design... Congrats !
Feeling that Prisoners vide! Great photography!
So cool seeing the development from your analysis to actual implementation, it's got me excited to try some of these techniques in my own projects!
Great job Patrick, the tone of the film was set from the opening shot. Nicely done, turned out great!!!
thanks Nolan!
The score was brilliant, this pulled off exactly what you were going for this is objectively good. This was dope
fantastic short Pat! The whole short kept the tension and made me feel uneasy like something dark/sinster was about to happen
Well done! That shot right after seeing the torn up fish gave me David Lynch vibes (the quick cut to it, the sound design… chef’s kiss!)
That was dark and so well done. Sound design and cinematography had me very engaged. Glad I came back to watch this. One more reason to mention past videos in your current vids.
Loved it, man. The build up of the tension was great. Loved that panning form inside the car! and the sound design was awesome. I jump when the fish was dropped on the floor. Great job!
Roger Deakins said don't move the camera unless there's a reason to. You absolutely nailed it.
Super well done sir! I’m glad that a lamp is featured prominently.
Really excellent cinematography and sound design too!
Absolutely love your work, the atmspohere its so well done, the shots are very “beautiful” and the montage measured and clean.Keep doing this amazing work.
this deserves at least 5000 views for the lamp alone.
that panning shot from inside the car was really damn good
That left pan from inside the truck scene was😬🙌, amazing cinematography dude, u implementing all of ur skill from the other videos
Beware of the lamp!
Nice! Yes on the BTS and I especially liked when the fish hit the floor, the empty chair insert, and the absence of sound at the end when the tarp starts to move. It's kinda like the house was having a sigh of relief that they were gone.
Fantastic job! Love the use of out of focus and selective focus shots!
Loved the cinematography! But, I also really enjoyed the score, the unease that permeates the whole thing, and the general sound design.
Plus LAMPS. Always lamps. 💡
It was too short. Entertaining anyway.
Would love to see a behind the scenes breakdown, amazing work bro!
I take so much inspiration from my fellow filmmakers. This is the first piece of work that I've seen of yours and I must say it is a pretty strong piece. I love the ominousness from the beginning and the interpretation you force the audience to have by the ending. Nice job!
thanks Devin!
Omg this work with details 🔥
finally here! love this short 👏🏼
I was cheering for the lamp the whole time. Amazing job, man!!
Really well made, and beautifully shot. Fantastic work!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 forgot this being shot on a A7iv while watching. There's really no excuses. U don't need big ass arri's to create beautiful compelling movies. This really inspired me.
Felt a bit uneasy from beginning to end. Loved it. Make a video talking about the thought that went behind this short film.
The footage looks great as well as the storytelling. I really like the song played during the credits too
Chills! Very well done. I made sure to put some headphones on for this one.
The shots and colors are so fine, nice work and very best luck at the filmfest 🚀🎬🎬🎬
this is nuts. The tension, pay off and release is next level. So much story in such a short amount of time. Loved it.
Thanks!
What story? There wasn’t one 🤣🤣
Feels like Robert Eggers directing Prisoners 👍🏽
2 biggest inspirations for this. thanks for watching!
Great job as usual! It had a David Lowery vibe!
Real David Lynch feel about it and love the choices of music 👏
🙏🙏
Very interesting! Good stuff. The sound was especially great here.
Moody as hell- loved it.
i love the knives out style lamp
Great short, Patrick. Really like the creepy vibe. And the silhouette of the driver at the beginning (negative fill?) Nice touch.
Outstanding to have put all the stuff you have been teaching us in one short.
I love the tone and the tension you built with the edit and music. This was amazing, I feel it’s your best work that you have shared.
If nothing new comes out at nab I’m going for a a7iv because of your recent videos and the phantom Luts. I also like Sony’s cinema line to grow into with our changing mounts.
And yes to bts!
love!!!!
Wow this short film is amazing! Excited to see more from you!!
more soon!
Robert Eggers meets Denis Villeneuve
Love the look and sound design of this especially - I'm a big fan of Shadow over Innsmouth and feel like this could fit in that universe. Hope to see more, guaglione!
Sound design is stellar!!! Well done.
Great setup, and dp work! Keep it up.
It is a visually interesting short film, it would be interesting if you talked about the narrative, behind the scenes. It would be interesting to see the motivations in every move and shot you make. Congratulations
This is really great, I love your style
That sick as hell! Well done 🙌.
Beautiful shortfilm!
I like the cinematography
Fantastic work. Definitely a great eye for cinema and filmaking!
Love it says so much with almost no script
I liked the style and look. You had some beautiful shots.
Great stuff man! Love the color grade
You have absolutely inspired me... thanks
Amazing. Beautifully shot.
Awesome!

Very cool dude! Love it.
Omg I loved it!
Yessir!!!
Great work
Amazing!!!!
Great job man. Looks awesome and love the vibe. This and my short The Witch are opening together for Woodland Grey at the Toronto Indie Horror Fest. A good pair. Congrats!
looking forward to seeing it! thanks for stopping by.
Well Done! A bit of fraser and lynch in there!
I remember Martin Scorsese did a short Film called “The Big Shave” then soon after that he became the worlds greatest director. I swear that’s going to be you Patrick the knowledge that you have and share with us is so insightful and you’re so young trust me when I tell you you are going to go places
Thanks. The short entertained me.
Just beautiful, Patrick. Know that you have a fan in Brazil. 🙃
cheers Lucas!
Loved everything about this…. Ears are happy and my eyeballs are visually satisfied
Awesome!! Great work.
No clue what I just watched and I enjoyed every minute of it
my job here is done. thanks Devin!
Wow. That was incredible. Real Lynch/Eggers vibes. You have a real talent 👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Love it, super atmospheric.
Coulda used more lamps lol. Cinematography & sound design was on point. Great way to create tension... loved it!
The establishing shots are awesome. A.W.E.S.O.M.E! Not enough lamps tho😂. Great work, Pat💪👏
I loved it.❤️❤️
The light bulb and vibes remind me DARK series
Very Hereditary, very A24. I enjoyed this very much!!
Awesome stuff.
want to see more from this world! great job man. I believe every filmmaker should practice making micro short films that make you FEEL something. that's the real filmmaking practice. would love to see a BTS breakdown of this.
this gave me a modern David Lynch vibes mixed with prisoners. if that make sense , also please don't care about anyone saying there's no story here bullshit. this is amazing!!
no words! Love it! Big fan of the use of a sort of happy song from the 70's (style wise). This dissonance between what you are seeing and what you're listening is awesome! One of the reasons why I love Vince Gilligan so much!
plus the thumbnail is on spot with everything A24! haha loved it!
thanks!
Well done bro I loved every frame 👍🏾
Sweet! Great work
Significantly it is a very inspiring work, thanks for sharing. Love your work and channel.
thanks Frank!
Sound design is on point! 👌
Great job!!!
Watched right after the inserts video. I cansee what u are saying. That slow pan left in the truck was spectacular. Also, I see u using the lamp ahaha
thanks king
I loved this. For some reason I really loved the pan in shots, there was just something about them. Were they achieved in post or did you get them in camera?
all the zooms are in post. thanks!
@@impatrickt you did a great job, I honestly couldn’t tell.
@@LouisFindlay thank you! gotta keep it subtle.
Beautiful
Very good cinematography.
Holy sh*t that sound design are next level! need breakdown ASAP
