excellent break down. i never really understood how people harmonized notes when soloing but your method seems to give me a more complete understanding.
Cool! I was looking for advice for playing funky rhythm piano without drums and, once again, I stumbeled over your channel. It wasn't really what I was looking for but hey-this is really good. And it's gonna give me some impulses for my rhythm piano. Gonna try this out for soloing after I have "completed" the assignnent I'm temporarely working on. This is really exiting!! Thanks!
a bit late but a a 5th and a 4th are the same thing if you go in different directions! C and F are both a 5th and a 4th depending on which is the current root.
Great technique and teaching but THAT AIN'T FUNK. Blues and Funk are NOT the same thing. I see this all the time with White musicians. George Clinton, Parliament, Gap Band, Bar Kays, James Brown that's funk

I Love The Gamme C Minor
The fourths sound like legendary jazz pianist Joe Sample!!!!
Yes!
thos 2 note fourths remind me so mich to Charly Garcia!!
you are great....
Very cool lesson! I also always thought the 4ths in the blues scale have that Classical Chinese sound🙏🏼🎶👏
merci beaucoup
Cool!
I couldn't find the backing tracks of this video on your website
Yeah, brother real FUNKY
I love you so much
Are my ears deceiving me or does the Coltrane tune Mr. Knight use the quartal sound?
How do I make everything I play sound less bluesy? I'm starting to really dislike the blues scale as opposed to other jazz scales
Muy bien camarada...
Hi Jonny, i want to become a member is there an email address I can write to you to ask a few questions first ? Would much appreciate it.

These are Dave Grusin exercises.
Some left hand chords would be useful.
I thought g was a 5th away from c and f was the 4th?
a bit late but a a 5th and a 4th are the same thing if you go in different directions! C and F are both a 5th and a 4th depending on which is the current root.
