you could run a test that loads up the network that isn't reliant on the disk speeds of your nas - iperf3 is pretty great at this kind of thing.

the sfp+ version might be $100 less, but if you're buying 10g base-t sfp+ modules that are between $20 and $30 a pop, and filling 8 ports with them, you're up to $160 of additional cost to make that switch work in a similar fashion - also 10g base-t sfp+ modules often suck down mad power and run hella hot, and don't have a great method of heat disappation making that whole idea not so great unless you plan on installing sfp+ nics in all your clients and using dac cables or lc fiber modules (which you'd then need on both sides of the lc fiber cable) which are usually ~$10/each and you're back up to an extra $20 per switch port to contend with making the 10g base-t version of this switch most appropriate assuming you already have 10g base-t clients deployed.

Good review and good conclusions. I got a 10Gbe switch with only 5 ports, few years back. And, it is in the $100 dollar range, and it performs just about like you said it would. And, it works okay, but I really have up & down results. It starts fast but the transfers drop down really quick. And, that's doing Nvme to Ramdisk, so I never have figured out what's the problem. I just tested it on my NAS, and had unpredictable results. And, nothing in my house is yet 10Gbit, so I just dropped the problem, only use it for backups, and I'll eventually buy a nicer one. Like the ones that you suggested, maybe. Both those look affordable and very usable.

Each time you copy from one place to another you re forgetting that data are being cached for the second time you re copying them

I know the Switch supports LACP but does it also do Multi Chassis Link aggregation, aka MLAG for redundancy between switches?

Since its managed, what about the iinterface? - is it simple to use?

He stated it was unmanaged. 😅
