Pull out a map of the Strait, point at its narrowest section - there is a 1mi channel inflow and 1mi channel outflow. Draw a hundred mile circle around that center point. They have 2mi to cover and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of airborne munitions and stockpiles of components to rebuild to keep it flowing at whatever rate needed to offset invading defenses.

What pollsters should ask republican who support this is 'what are the consequences you believe will result from this war?' Then - 'Do you support a draft of yourself, your kids and/or grandkids to support the war?' and 'Do you support a 25% increase across the board in prices to support the war?' - the problem with just asking 'do you support the war' is the lack of association to outcomes.

We never left that path that we went over to Vietnam on. Beirut, Grenada, Iraq, Afghanistan, Venezuela, now Iran, probably Cuba.
