Before any Buddhist ceremony or function Buddhists chant these salutations or pay their respect to the Lord Buddha, his teachings(Dhamma) and his monks(Sangha).
Sādhu Sādhu Sādhu! Do you know which Sangha is chanting and where they are located? May all be blessed by the recitation of the homage to the Triple Gem.
This particular chant came from Southeast Asian Theravada Buddhism, (Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, etc). Chanting to offer to the Buddha and for the 5 precepts and so on.
@@Khmer-cu1ow Thank you so much. I began my formal Dhamma training with a Theravada monk from Sri Lanka, Venerable Yatiyana Wajirapala Thero. The style of chanting in Sri Lanka is different from Thailand. Sri Lankan chanting is not as rhythmic as Thai chanting. I was just wondering if you knew which specific Monastic Sangha is chanting, which Wat or monastery and perhaps by the pronunciation, which country. I am drawn to the more rhythmic chanting, perhaps because I am a musician by trade. Once again, thank you and may you be blessed by the Triple Gem.
@@ricardofranciszayas I'm happy to hear that you studied Buddhism from Sri Lanka, one of the older version of the Theravada Buddhism chanting. If you wish to find the rhythmic chanting, you would go to Thailand or Cambodia. When all the Monks come together to chant, it is music to the ears and you'll feel the vibration of the energy entering into your body and soul. Very powerful, when the chant hit the ceiling, the walls of the monastery and bounced back, it is like an eco of wisdom. I believe, Tibetan Buddhism also uses instruments during special chanting session as well. I love to listen to Buddhist Monks chant because it brings peace, relaxation, calmness, mindfulness, and purification to the mind and heart. I hope you will seek what you are looking for, self cultivation is always a plus. May your journey be very blessed! You're much welcome.
Thank you, Khmer. I so appreciate your kind words and I wish you good health, happiness, safety and peace in your life. Yes, I am definitely drawn to the way this Sangha chants the Triple Gem devotion. It brings me peace and energy. And I love some of the Tibetan Mantras which are chanted with deliberate intention. The instruments used in some of the chanting and rituals really wakes one up. The hand cymbals and the long trumpets are very joyful and very loud. Great peace and great energy. May you be blessed by the Triple Gem.
Hello Ricardo, by ear I would say that they are monks from central Laos or Isan region of Thailand (wich is also Lao speakers), but without certainty. blessing on your learning@@ricardofranciszayas
