When the song came out, I didn't know this Band. Well, I was just 6 years old, but they played it in the Radio and I really didn't like it...I don't know, how I could dislike such a beautiful Song! But then, in April this year, I discovered Billy Talent because of another Band. I looked them up on RUclips and heard some songs and then I found surrender and after the first Tone of Ian's guitar I instandly remembered this song from so long ago! And I liked it this time! Maybe I was too young to understand the song in 2006, but this song really brought me into Billy Talent and now I'm a huge BT-fan.
I was 6 too and i think we where to young. I don't know a 6 years old child who like billy talent:D when i was 6 i liked bibi blocksberg barbie or lollypops (do you know this "band" )

What i find so beautiful is that as fans we all have the same kind of emotional connection/feeling to this song, I'm seeing this as I read through he comments. this song is so beautiful like I don't think there's a song that could replace its beauty and legend.

Its funny to see this and realize I just did what the song is about/not about…. proposed to my crush and well looks like friendzone but i have to wait. But that not the madder this is a great Song i just love listening and playing along on my guitar and even if its not a typical BT song its still amazing! And one of the first Songs i've ever listened form BT
