*big fan of experimental mixed media techniques...constantly messing about with pigments and inks (fountain pen inks from various sources Goulet pens has over 800 and they sell samples) and Esty has some amazing handmade artisan/boutique inks and watercolors well worth checking out (fox and Quills (by Mr. Fox) is a good one especially since he ships his inks in small ERLENMEYER FLASKS which is just so cool to display on a shelf... i also mess about with book binding techniques and altered books collage and so many others variants of art it can get overwhelming at times but i view art as my sanity therapy...and i'm in need of a lot of it lately*
I will definitely be looking into these pens, I love working with pen and feel many times they finish a piece. Thank you so much! I have done book binding once a long time ago, it's incredible what people have created. I agree art is therapy and can help a lot during these stressful times.
@@AlisaLaporteArt *goulet pens is something of a rabbit hole once you start exploring what they have there...all the inks are beautiful so ordering a few dozen of the samples first is a good option...especially for experimenting with washes...it's very easy to collect nearly one hundred samples in a year or so*
@@AlisaLaporteArt *Goulet Pens is something of a rabbit hole once you start exploring the site so just be aware of that... stunningly beautiful inks to be sure but you can easily spend a LOT of money on samples alone...they do have sample collections which are a good deal so might want to consider that first...can't say enough about the esty shop Fox and Quills ...his inks are outstanding and i have a good collection of those as well...really looking forward to seeing what you do once you obtain these ink samples*
