Congratulations on your completion! I just want to say thank you for your deep discussion about the rep 4K. I’m doing a similar hybrid build 1/2 rack. Doing a 30 in deep rack with support arms to do most work on the outside of the rack. I think I’ll be greatful for the extra space instead of getting just a 17 inch wide 1/2 rack.
I’m hearing impaired…I always ask them to make sure I could hear their commands over all of the crowd noise and music, so they often agree to tap me on commands, which is nice!
Awesome job Marcus! You're nursing a bum elbow. I'm doing the same with my left shoulder. It's tough getting old (I'm a few yrs older than you). And FWIW, I thought that you hit depth on that 3rd squat.
At first I thought it was 365 day memberships, but the website says this now: All memberships expire on Dec 31 of the year purchased (Memberships purchased Nov/Dec expire the following year-end.) November should have been good.
Great Job! I am curious do you have a video that describes you and your journey? You look like a big guy, watching you do dips with weights and pull-ups just impresses me. I am 53, started at 355, and am now down to 267. I am actually starting to see muscles!!! I was just curious things like age/weight/height time you have been lifting etc. When I set my goals, I am not aiming for big ripped look, more just a look of a brick S*%t house. Or even just restoring myself to the old big Oklahoma Country boy I used to be before I got fat. Anyways not trying to get to personal, but was just curious as always love the content and the reviews.. Keep them coming!
Thanks for watching and commenting John! I appreciate the support and kind words. I have not yet done a video of that sort, but maybe it’s time! Your weight loss is impressive and glad you decided to take that journey after realizing it’s never too late! Limitations exist in the mind and it’s only when we think outside of mental limitations that we realize our full potential. Of course it takes hard work, but it’s worth it in the long run. Many focus on improving on a variety of other aspects in life but we only get one physical body and it’s up to us to maintain it like we would our shelters - to serve us for a long time. Keep an eye out for an “origin” type video and I hope to hear more about the old Oklahoma brick house feeling like the old glory days again!
Thanks Hugh. Yeah, the medal factor was the meet director's issue, but the membership card thing was USAPL and likely mine. I think I needed to pull down a new version of the card once we were in 2024!
Nice work, and thanks for sharing your journey!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome job Marcus!
Thanks Cap!
Awesome job and congratulations
Appreciate that MJ
Great recap and congrats on the DL and DOTS PR!!
Thanks Michelle!
Stinks about the bouncer blocking you at the entrance but those squats looked fine on depth to my eyes
Lol! I hadn’t thought about them as a “bouncer” but that is appropriate. Thanks Jonathan!
Great great job. Impressive lifts. Hope your elbow gets better. One day I'll do a meet...
Thank you and I recommend a meet for sure!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad my video was helpful for your hybrid build.
Congratulations on the masters medals. Those first two squats looked good to me. I couldn’t really tell on the third one
Thanks Coach!
Great job bro! You did pretty damn well considering all you were up against.
Thank you Carter!
Why was the head ref tapping your shoulders on your 3rd bench?
I’m hearing impaired…I always ask them to make sure I could hear their commands over all of the crowd noise and music, so they often agree to tap me on commands, which is nice!
Great lifting Marcus, much respect 👊👊
Appreciate that!
Congrats! Great job powering through adversity.
Thank you Nick!
Great job Marcus, stronger and leaner! Hopefully your elbow will be fully healthy at your next meet!
Thanks Joe! I’m looking forward to the kind of meet I was hoping for at the next one.
Much respect. Sorry you had a rough start to the day. I know that would have thrown me. But the lifts looked solid. Nice job.
I appreciate it Gavin!

Appreciate you and good luck with your shoulder!
Nice Job!
Thanks!
Cool recap. Sorry the elbow is still an issue.
Thanks man! I took off almost 2 weeks so I’m hoping I can get back to it tomorrow and have it feel better

Yep, agreed.

Good job at the meet. USAPL seemed rather disorganized like not rewarding you the medal and emailing you a membership renewal dated last year.

Here to comment I’ll come back and watch later
