Sucks that this feature is not able to be changed on the Msuper Pro this was the wheel that came before the Current Begode RS, on the RS and pretty much every new wheel you can change it and fix this.
Dude! Agreed. I had my first hard crash last night finally. Just ouch. Was flying at about 30mph and hit some leaves as I was turning slightly and BAM!!! Hit a traffic sighn and went sailing. Hit thr road going g so fast and I tumbled for like 20 ft. Can't walk with out crazy pain. Just owe!!!

IMO There should be 2 things needed for a 45 degree cutoff no weight on the wheel and the angle. But if there is any weight on the pedals it should turn off the cutoff feature until you're not on it.
100%. The only thing that I have to hold back on while riding is the angle I tilt it at. I understand the idea of it turning off when it falls over, but inmotion doesn't stop spinning after a spill half of the time anyway. Wish it was an adjustable feature.
It makes you apprehensive and guarantees an off if it comes into play. It's a pity that someone like you who is involved in the design doesn't understand riding in general. For example, do you know what a berm is? Do you know what effect a berm has on wheel angle? And yes, most roads are banked this way too, so it isn't just off road.
Yep that's happened to me 3 times on my Msx 84v on mountain bike trails you try to stay low on the berms but every now and then you go to high and down you go with cutoff.Really sucks hurt my wrist twice because of 45 degree cutoff.
Something but lanyard alone is not enough. You could crash and the spinning wheel could be wedged up tight against you. Foot pin switches and a kill cord that you can pull manually.
That happen to me on the master glad your ok. I forgot to change the angle when I got it. And the pedals being higher I turned sharp and forgot cause no pedal scrape
Yea it is easy to forget to do, and even resets after an update in some cases. I posted this as sort of a reminder. It does really suck, I would really be bummed if I would have broke my wrist, I already broke my left wrist once, so it is fragile and hurts so bad every day.
Well you convinced me I need better gloves I just use skateboard wrist guards I have from the Onewheel. Any you’d recommend? I just got the leatt knee pads and am saving up for the armored reflective jacket.
Instead of being just a simple angle limit cutout, they shoud make it an acceleration angle limit, that way if the force is still straight down like in a berm it wont cut out but if the wheel falls while rolling straight it will cutout...
Hey chooch what trails would you recommend near Denver? Tried one the other day and discovered it was rocky and high elevation. Hard to tell on all trails.
Up by cherry creek Res, below the dam a quarter mile down the trail and in the woods right by the paved path is a whole playground of sick trails. Green Mountain, and Apex park are also sweet
@@EdLrandom Not on older wheels, I just felt like taking the ole Msuper out for a ride and it was really fun untill this happend and then I got scared of railing the burms. If i had a RS I could absolutely smoke this trail. The cutoff is just an old feature I have always been dropped by. This has happend alot before I got the newer wheels. so when the wheel falls over it doesnt spin out of control. The designers could do many things besides make it cut off with the rider on it, I think the whole idea is moronic.
I’m sure they can make it so when it’s upside down it turns off. The 45 degree doesn’t even cut off half the time. I e seen plenty of wheels spin and destroy its self

so do you mean tilting it sideways can turn it off?
Do you know if you can change it on the S18?

Yep wish they made an update for older wheels to fix it. Seems it wouldnt be hard to do via an update. Many people still ride these wheels.
@@choochtech what cut-off angle would you set if it were possible on this msp?
Are there no angle cutoffs on new wheels? Or much more tolerant ones?
@@JoachimVesely if you lean a wheel over it cuts off, they all do it. The new ones you can just adjust how far before it cuts off
"If I hadn't been wearing my wrist guard I would have broken my wrist" Noted. No skimping on the wrist guards
yea wrist guards are great, I wear them snowboarding too. Broke my wrist and it bothers me more than my broken collar bone
They should have a kill switch lanyard instead.
yep, a pin by your feet with a ankle leash. so when you fly off it pulls the pin and completely deactivates the wheel just like a jet ski

I got that wheel, and 2 broken ribs last weekend because of that......
it cant be turned off or set the angle to be lower?
not on this wheel, you can on the new ones

What is the purpose of the lateral 45* cutoff? Does the gyro become less dependable beyond that point or something?
