Sorry to hear that you have to move your shop, but then it might be a blessing in disguised since you may end up with more square footage under roof! But remember that square footage fills up fast (personal experience). Love your shop videos! I’m been a journeyman machinist for the past 39 years and I’m still learning new tricks thanks to you, the other Keith, Adam, Big Dave R., Steve S., and I can’t forget the RUclips shop teacher, Mr. Pete!
My thoughts are with you Keith! Packing up is one thing. Moving is another thing. Un-packing and putting everything in is new place, wow, that is a whole lot of time consuming things! Good luck, I hope it all goes well for you.
Keep your strength up my last workshop move took 10 weeks . I am still working on my new shop .. it's a big job on your own . Moving building a new shop . 200sq meters . Hope you get a few to give u a hand . Don't get hurt .
Moving is never fun Keith but I got lucky 8 years ago and found a place with all the potential I was looking for, it took a while to get everything like wanted but very happy I lucked out and found a place I've grown to enjoy, I hope you can find a place that makes moving worth all the hassles that come with it sir!
Hi Keith, thanks for another great video, wishing you all the best on the future move, my thought's are whith you mate, but I know you'll get-r done, looking forward to the next video ,look after yourself . Regards Stuart uk.
Enjoyed that Keith! Very much like the sort of machining I'd do in my home shop but on a smaller scale............moving your shop must be a real daunting task though, hope all goes well!,,,,
If you should fly over my house I need help making a d1-4 universal mounting plate from a splindle nose 1-1/2 8tpi adapter and an 8 inch disc. You are needed, keep the faith.
I thougt about where Keith could move and now I have a vision of a giant shop where all the youtube metal workers work together as co workers and getter done :D
Good luck with the move Keith, I hope your next work space is to your liking, perhaps enough room to add a few more machines and increase your capacity with for example a lathe with a longer bed.
If I were buying a knee mill right now it would probably be a Jet JTM-1050EVS; I used one when I was in school and they are very nice machines. They were built by YCM, one of Taiwan's top machine makers in terms of quality. It has 3 horsepower R8 spindle and variable frequency drive.
Having to move everything is not a fun process. On the bright side, if there has been any changes in location or setup of equipment that you have been wanting to do, now is the time. You know, all the things we say that we will get to someday!
On the first few outside radius cuts, I noticed one side was a wider cut than the other. Was that face not machined square? I guess it wouldn't have needed to be considering the planned radius, or was it a surprise to you as well? I'm just observing and learning, thank you for all the skills presented!
Keith, does one get more tool flex with climb as opposed to conventional milling?I understand from reading that as the end mill cuts it pulls itself in a predictable direction but I haven't seen it said if it acts the same in both types of cuts. Furthermore, when milling a slot where its cutting on both sides is the flex predictable as well? Perhaps in the direction of rotation?
End mills will always pull to the climb, how much back lash is the biggest concern on older machines, cut quality and accuracy is most concern on tight machines. finishing passes make for the truer cut. ;{)

Is this a 10yr old video ? I mean - a young looking machinist appears with NO very personal and national intro to the video. I think I'll be back and watch more of your videos again Sir !
bmlennox, every man that’s been through a divorce has donated a house! I’m sure that Keith is no different. And like every other man he’ll land on his feet running! Good luck Keith!

I love your repurposed steering wheel, brilliant idea!
Great education about how to get some use out of the rotary table. Thanks for making videos that show real machining!
It's good to see Keith as a man with a mission.
Wishing you all the best. I divorced and remarried about 8 years ago. It is mentally draining. Very happy where I am now, hope you are as lucky as me.

it is more an art than a trade...or it,s the magic you include in your videos
Enjoyed this video. All the very best on your move. Such a lot of equipment to move Keith. Stay safe, regards Anthony

Keith, you seem more like yourself today. Great video, keep em coming friend! Chin up always!

I can't belive some of the stuff I've moved when I was younger. Now it would take me a year to move your shop.
Looking real good Keith great setup, man you gotta love those roughing mills, since I got some, they are my goto items, cheers!
Pretty work Keith, keep the videos coming.
A matched set of one is always useful too.

make a list of all the things you find that you thought you lost. #1 thing you missed the most would be fun to hear about.
Good luck with the move Keith, I hope your next work space is to your liking, perhaps enough room to add a few more machines and increase your capacity with for example a lathe with a longer bed.
I thought I paid attention on FB and RUclips? Where are you relocating to, Keith?
I hope your move to your new location goes smooth.

how do you like the steering wheel verses the 3 handles???? Thinking of doing this to my drill press!!
Nice work as usual

It was a rough cut face, I did notice it, wasn't overly concerned. ;{)
Come to the Seattle area. Lot's of water, lakes, boats,Ships,Boeing, I know I know just thinking out loud.
Unlikely. A couple of his ex-wives already live there (he once said).

You mean
Old rusty obsolete machinery out in a field
Enjoyed!...

Moving is such a PITA. I hope you'll share some video of the new place and the process. How many tons of stuff have to go?
If I were in his part of the country, I'd loan him my crane truck.
Mr. Keith is back :)
There's some great shop space down here in the Falmouth technology park
If only I like Falmouth, the place you can't get out of or get into fast! ;{)
The tech park is not bad to get in or out of I commute from Barnstable daily. It would be a haul from Dennis though.
Looking Good !
Hey Keith, good use of a steering wheel. Lol
Are you moving to a bigger place or different state
state of d i v o r c e
LOL! Good One, have to give cred's. ;{)

i missed the part where you had to re position the part and put a shim under it.....
Are you going to stay on the cape?
Yeah most likely, stay tune in 2020! ;{)

Can you give us hint where you are moving to?
Sorry Keith Just had to say it "Clap On Clap Off The Clapper" LOL
Have you dropped the pledge ?.
Good luck with the move, that's an opportunity to find all those missing fixtures. Then loose them again.
No I haven't! I had started this video on older computer and forgot to insert it! say it twice on the next video!!!! LOL ;{)
Of all the days this one is the one I expected the pledge of allegiance November 11 Lest We Forget
Outside radius are a pain unless you have CNC.
would be fun to swing that thing in the 4 jaw for the counterbore and the outside radius :D
Probably quicker than setting up the rotary table!
@@PorkBarrel. True! But you need the rotary table anyway for the slot.

I was disappointed not seeing it as well my friend. I'm chalking it up to, he has alot on his plate. Hopefully, he brings it back!

Welcome to the new 'Red Green Show' 😏😉😎

What happened to the pledge of allegiance ??
what is the divorce rate for you tube stars?- Who is next ?
do you have to move because of your divorce? losing half of everything you own?
You know, that's really none of your, or anyone else's, business, and it's just plain rude to ask about it in a public forum.
