Yeap, those markets and hawker centres close early in the evening! Better luck during brunch and lunch!

You're absolutely right! We recently visited Lau Pa Sat hawker centre (midday 😉) and were really impressed. What’s your opinion on it? Any favorite stalls or other centers you’d recommend for our next visit? 😊

@andrew_patrycja, Ooh while Lau Pa Sat has a huge spread indeed, you can also try my dad's beef noodle stall at Old Airport Road Food Centre (it's called J & J Special Beef Noodles, shameless marketing here! 😂).
My other favorites include Loo's Hainanese curry rice @ Tiong Bahru Market Food Centre, the famous Outram Park Fried Kuay Teow and Tai Wah Pork Noodle, both @ Hong Lim Food Centre 😊

@@andrew_patrycja Ahhh Lau Pa Sat is known for its very diverse range of cuisines being sold under one roof and its convenience for office workers nearby. Other alternatives worth considering are the famous Outram Park fried kuay teow / Tai Wah Pork Noodle @ Hong Lim Food Centre, and Loo's Hainanese curry rice @ Tiong Bahru Market & Food Centre.
You can also check out my dad's humble beef noodle stall at Old Airport Road Food Centre - it's called J & J Special Beef Noodles! 😉

Chinatown? Hope you guys will explore other areas and check out its food and culture. Coz Singaporeans are also Malays and Indians, not just Chinese.

Thank you so much! 😊 Yes, we did visit Lau Pa Sat on a different day, and we absolutely loved it! The variety of food there was amazing, and the building itself is such a beautifully elegant and well-cared-for gem - a true treasure within a gem of a city! 🌟
Unfortunately, we missed out on trying the satay this time, but your recommendation has us convinced to make it a priority on our next visit. Singapore is a place we can happily and honestly look forward to revisiting time and time again. ❤️

i'm an 80s kid and what that man sang is a famous song from my parents generation. the song title means and part of the lyrics means, in life. 30% is predetermined by god, and 70% u have to fight for yourself.

Thank you so much for sharing that! 😊 We really appreciate you helping us understand the meaning behind the song. The lyrics and message really resonate-especially the part about how life is shaped by both fate and effort. It makes a lot of sense why it was so popular, and we love that it carries such a powerful message. Thanks again for sharing this with us!
