Bro iust by looking at your rewards points and avois accumulation, it shows that in uk it is very hard to collect very large amount without spending big. In usa its very easy due to 5x and 10x multipliers😢😢😢
Agree about lowish earning rate for credit card spend. But on the bright side, the welcome bonuses and other promotional offers have gotten a lot better over the last couple of years.
Hey! I thought american express dont allow you to redeem a welcome bonus twice in their once-lifetime rule? if you wait 2 years is that waived in the uk?
Hey! UK rules are a little more relaxed. Generally, to be eligible for a welcome bonus you need to not have held an Amex card for the past 2 years. The BA Premium Plus card is even more flexible: you just need to not hold any Avios earning Amex card for 2 years.
They run promotions several times a year on both Avios and MR products. At least that's been the case for the past couple of years. So fingers crossed this year is the same!
Yeah, the eligibility criteria were surprisingly relaxed. I double and triple checked that upgrading from the basic card to the paid one still counts before signing up. And it did!

I tend to base my food shopping off the Nectar offers and grab loads of points to convert to Avios.
Yep, that's a good approach as well, just gotta be careful to not buy stuff you don't need / wouldn't have bought otherwise.

I did at the end of each section (Avios, Amex and Nectar), just didn't sum up the 3 into a grand total 😊
