Hey Phil thanks for this really great question. Will be going into more detail in the advanced videos but there's a couple of things to bear in mind when thinking about upgrading items for Swash. Firstly is it takes planning for your build, generally the only reason you're gonna be levelling items up 90% of the time is for adornment slots. So you want to know what you're gonna be adorning with be it mana jewels, crimson pinions, HP jewels etc. Broken gear will have the same number of adornment slots as ornate gear when you Masterforge it. Most important point! Aldon's Hat in particular is a bit of a misnomer because it doesn't get any adornment slots! So that item we leave at level 1.

@@Julia-vs5wz your English is more than fine, hello to Belgium 😋 so actually I have an alt at t9 Nyx Swash, I would say there is not 1 best pet but good pets for different scenarios. Also depends if you have any event pets. For pvp I love greater yokai, even the surtr flames this month. For everything else probably want either healing/support with twilight wisp or Pale dragon... Or extra damage like Nidhogg. Good event pets are the phoenix, untamed Cerus, dog/horse from last month.
Why dont you dual wield as swash? I have quite a bit more attack if I use a second weapon instead of whisper (same level). I can even use adornments in the second weapon which is not possible with whisper.

Meele physical. I'd reccomend to go with the gear you have to focus tho. I started this game as a war... Then I found a dragon scroll and everything changed.
Disclaimer: I don't understand that math around attack/dmg. Question: my first impression from Swash (one-shotting boss mobs, PVP won in 1-2 turns) was that it gives some supercrazy bonus, but this ended up being jist 50% to attack (didn't it?). Is it the same thing as you get from Berserker's Berserk? If so, as a Berserk I am definitely not one-shotting everything and I am not even close to that. I might be undergeared a bit, or also I might be misundersting swash and I am not seeing properly all benefits it gives.
Not quite the same because swash bonus applies to your base attack whereas berserk 1 buff does not. This means your penetration as swash is much higher, allowing those multihits skills to actually do damage
What do you think about the Bestial Eye adornments for *7? It has Def: -25, but also HP: -25 and Mana: -25. So there is a trade off to consider. It does add action rate to your follower, but I can't imagine it is very much.
It adds 1% action rate which may not seem like much but a few of them can be significant depending on your pet. At those levels it's a solid utility adornment, no reason not to try them out
@@Shabbash I think I understand. A pet with something like a 3% spell chance gains 33% more spells with a single percent increase. Two of those adornments lowers Def: by 50 which offset Aldon's hat. So I am going to try them out.
did you start Aethric? if so, NPCs rotate every 6 hrs so check the inn at Vinland every 6 hours in the Tavern tab (hold for information) it'll tell you where to find him if he's on the map somewhere. If you're playing Orna then NPCs are randomly dotted about the world, you can travel around or ask in discord for a wayvessel to someone with Aldon
you never want to build around dexterity in its current form in the game, it's just not worth it at all. Aim to increase your main damaging stat, if you're a mage then yeah increase magic. Although this is a Swash video so a little strange to talk about magic but never mind lol. For Swash we concentrate on increasing attack and decreasing defense mainly.

I don't have any forest or smth like that in my region what weapon would the recommend apart from basi? I have a legendary estoc would that suffice?

Possibly not if you find a good second weapon, however the thing with whisper is it's easy to find and cheap to upgrade, a true budget option.
