Kinda wish I bought the tech one, but I have a bellboy classic backpack that’s been getting the job done for me over the past couple of years. I also really love MasterPiece backpacks, but the price tag is just too high.
Great video thank you. A dedicated space for shoes is a huge win with a work pack. The centre zip is great for getting at kit too rather than rooting about in a regular bag. Did wonder about the zip in the rain?
A Josh backpack video? Yes please! On another subject - have you seen Pakt's Republic campaign? it's pretty awesome to be able to invest in such a great company.
Ps as you might gather from the rain thing I am British and it rains so often in the West that there is saying, “If you don’t like the weather wait a minute!”
I purchased this bag last year after watching your review and I love it. I started my bag collection after purchasing it, but keep coming back to it for its simplicity and perfect size. I recently fell in love with Bellroy's Venture Ready Pack 26L and saw you've used that as well. I have a lot of Bellroy products -- mostly slings and totes, but no backpacks. I love Bellroy's design language, materials, and the casual cool of the Venture Ready line. In your opinion, how do the straps on the Venture Ready Pack 26L compare to the Fit Pack 3? I have the Cote et Ciel Isar M Komatsu Onibegie. It's gorgeous. It's got everything I need, but the straps leave a lot to be desired even with load lifters. The shape of the straps is weird, the padding sucks, and they're too short so I rarely find myself using this bag unless I'm just going straight from my car to a desk or work station. Basically I'm just curious of your opinion because I don't want another bag that's beautiful but useless.
Thanks for all the info! The Bellroy straps are a bit less substantial than aer in my experience, but still quite comfortable and useful. Overall it’s a bit of a softer feel and not quite as beefy as the fit pack straps, but not in a way that feels cheap. The fit pack would probably win for comfort but mainly just for the size difference, assuming you’re loading more with the extra capacity. Probably a negligible difference with the same gear load but the venture 26 is much larger than the fit pack. Hope this helps! I’m sure the Bellroy CS would be able to take care of you as well if there were any problems or concerns, I think they sell on Amazon too
@@joshfennmy venture ready pack arrived today! The straps are actually the perfect combination of my are fit pack and my mystery ranch urban assault! Thank you for the discount code. Will be using it again soon for more Bellroy product. Any thoughts on their pouches? Definitely happy with any recommendations you have regarding Bellroy.
@christiandnl that’s great! I’ve got the tech pouch from Bellroy and it’s been really nice. Probably a tie of favorites for me between that one, the CAP2 from evergoods, and the pouch from pioneer carry. All a bit different but all great.
Will this bag work for a student? I have a lot of books to carry for school and the Tech Pack 2 is definitely too small for me. I love the look and quality of Aer bags, so I really want one, but I need to have enough room for books. Great video by the way!
I think this one wouldn’t be the best for a school bag, the tech pack 2 has a bit more space for books than this one. Maybe the duffel version for the extra capacity if you’re wanting to stick with aer?
Unfortunately I don’t have the bag anymore to test and confirm, but I think the water bottle pocket might be a bit too small for a full 32oz hydroflask
Anyone planning on picking up one of the new active collection bags?
Spent my bag quota for the year last week, new peli roller. There wont be a new bag for a while, this does look cool though!
Enjoy the new roller, I’m sure it’ll be great!
Oh yeah, college is about to start in person soon, so definitely will be checking it out.

Just got it, I'm in love!

The zips are great for rain! Same as my previous aer bags, they’re pretty well weather sealed 👍

I did see that, so awesome and I’m so happy for Pakt going this route! Definitely a great company worth backing.

Haha similar here in Portland, lots of rain and drizzling and constantly changing.

Hi brought fit pack 3 as a everyday use, hope it works out for me
That’s great, you should love it!
Does a 32 Oz bottle fit in there like a hydroflask about 3.5" diameter ?
Unfortunately I don’t have the bag anymore to test and confirm, but I think the water bottle pocket might be a bit too small for a full 32oz hydroflask
Great thumbnail 👌
Thanks!
where did you get your eyeglasses?
Got them from a local shop, but they’re from Salt Optics and I think the model was called Rumack
which is your daily bag? boundary supply?
Been using the city pack for a while now as my daily, it’s been great!
