GoodCivs: Teutons(cheap farms+armored halbs), Slavs(faster Farmers+druzhina halbs,their bonusdamage bypasses armor), Chinese(Farm team bonus), Burgundians(farmers generate gold+the button), Poles(fulwark+cheap knights+stone minersgenerate gold), Bohemians(fervor affects villagers and trash monks), Persians(trash crossbow), Magyars(trash UU), Malay(trash swordsman), Saracens(market bonus)
Interesting idea. If you can't trade, why did you suggest Saracens?
@@LeafMaltieze he can use market prices. No trade means no trade carts. Otherwise this challenge is impossible because they would have to go go trash unit only. At their ELO the enemy would notice pretty quick and just spam Champions+Halbs or Champions + Hand Canoneer

So the Öoles are the best trash civ? because of their Hussar? The Magyar Hussar beats the polish Hussar. Poles get no Halberdier and their Elite Skirms are missing the last archer armor.
Magyars have their UU being trash which is better than the Winged Hussar of the Poles. They have Halberdiers but they are missing last infantry armor. Doesnt matter though since the attack bonus is important and its there. The Elite Skirms are also fully upgraded with armor+ everything else.
The Poles have a farming bonus but in Post-Imperial trash fights nobody is really short on wood and food. Population efficiency is what counts there. Who can field the better units with less turn-over so you can actually push. And Poles suck at defending against such pushes because Pikes get melted by FU Elite-Skirms on stand ground while they are less usefull at holding their own against cav pushes since their bonus damage is significantly lower.
Poles are good at spamming knights and Obuch+Skirm/Archer combo. But that requires Gold. If a Pole manages to actually lose so many Cavaliers to the meat grinder that he runs out of gold, he is screwed. Because his trash-trio is missing the Halberdier and his Elite-Skirms are squishy. Winged Hussar cant hold the trash fight by its own.
I for one just freaking love playing Byzantines against Poles. If he goes Cavalier I just spam discounted Halbs till gold runs out. If he goes Obuch+Archer/Skirm, I build some Cataphracts and discounted FU Elite Skirms and clean house.
Poles seem overpowered at first but are really a one(actually two) trick Pony.
This is the most ridiculous, dumbest and funnest game so far in this series.
A win should only count against the Fruitsaladclan!

Why was hussar not corret play this match?
Too little to late plus mongols Hussars lack last armor so they are quite weak to mangudai. So mass hussars could be good against hufnica and monks but melt against mangudai plus this is not a unit that you want to make in post imp team game as mongols (also against hufnica and monks they should be even better). And celts plus bohemians have weak cavs (both without bloodlines or last armor and bohemians dosnt even have hussars)
I thought we get most gold when the market is farthest from ally's market. Am I wrong? I don't understand why Viper built markets each side of the map.
They all built on both sides. The carts automatically choose a return market that's farther away. They won't go to a close market, unless it's the only option. Search for the "Spirit of the Law" Market video for more information.

my favorit map so sad its banned so often in ranked
its the worst and shouldnt be in the ranked map pool. Not if you have just 1 or 2 bans. Whats imagine you want to play classic aoe2. Instead of having half an hour of a competive game experience you get stuck in a forrest nothing game. Extremely civ dependend and frankly super boring.

Nice video, but I missed the conversation when they decided to play no farms. The first time they talked about it was in minute 11.
They've made several attempts at it, so there wasn't any particular discussion on it this game.

@@nschep Yes I did, it was one reason why I watched it (but the title was different back then). In other videos they discuss possible strategies. But here they didn't talk about it. First i thought the title is wrong, but I saw no farms so it must be right. After minute 10:00 when somebody from chat asked i knew it was the right video but I was not sure if missed this discussion. Something felt off. I wanted to tell them that there is small room for improvement. The new title is much better now, because it tells you that this was not the first try.
Why did Viper build one market on each side of the map, instead of 2 markets on the same side?
So the trade cart will instantly generate the full gold amount despite having the ally's market nearby, and the trade cart will travel back to the furthest market to drop off. Basically he saves 1 way of the roundtrip at the start.
