    Loved this!! Cleaning off the things 'stored' on top of the dehydrator... wearing a shirt on backwards... 😂 got me thinking...maybe I'm normal after all. 🤔

    Umami mushroom sauce is a totally new thing to me. I didn't know the definition of umami. I love that you took the time to do the explaining. Thank you for that. And yep I noticed the shirt ;-) No worries though! Also noticed the sign 'Animals welcome, people tolerated.' Love it!

    I did notice the shirt. Reminded me of the time I made it into the office with mine the same way. Was surprised nobody said anything. I have not heard the phrase umami until very recently and had no clue what it meant. I am in the initial stages of fermenting. Trying to get over the concern that I will make someone sick. ;) Love your channel and thank you for the wonderful videos.

    What an amazing video. I dehydrate regularl mushrooms from the store and grind them into a powder. I put it in everything and even my picky eaters love the food bc of it.

    this is my favy fermenting video yet! not only do you wear your shirt inside out (on purpose, on accident, meh same same!) but you have an industrial grade spice grinder and a love of mushrooms!! 🥰🍄 BIG HUG thanks for the inspiration 🎉

      @@SageandStoneHomestead I have one that I purposely wear inside out because it's big and super soft and I love it so much but it has an LA Raiders logo on it and I wouldn't be caught dead in a ditch sporting Raiders apparel 🤣 so people say all the time, "do you know you're shirt is inside out?" and I say, "yes I do, thanks!" and leave it at that!

    I have family members that are on salt restrictions. I have learned to cook without salt or minimal salt. I use many seasonings to replace salt. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and time.

    I HAVE NEVER TRIE MAKING A UMMAMI SAUCE OR POWDER, I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THERE WAS SUCH A THING. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS WITH US AND FOR BEING A PART OF THE FERMENTED FEBRUARY. I WILL BE TRYING THIS OUT BECAUSE I LOVE TO TRY NEW THINGS ESPECIALLY IF IT KICKS UP A DISH A NOTCH.

    I am so looking forward to my 2nd Fermented February! Also - when you opened that spice grinder, in my mind I said, "Magic! Umami powers, Activate!" LOL (I was also going to ask if the shirt you began with was intentionally put on inside-out, but you addressed that.) Absolutely ADORE this! Another super way to use homegrown (and outside sourced) mushrooms... And maybe a way to sneak in some beneficial properties to regular meals.

      NO I didn't notice until much later. I was washing dishes and looked down wondering what made me choose to wear one of Levi's plain gray shirts and realized it was inside out! 🤣

      That spice grinder blew me away. I have the little one that you get to grind coffee or I use my heavy duty blender. Need to check into that.

    My go to fermented veggies is of course are carrots, cabbage and cauliflower! I have all three on my counter as I type. But fermented mushrooms are another level!! I will definitely be buying the book and looking for this recipe. Thank you so very much for sharing 😊

    I have never though that mushrooms could be fermented. This looks incredible! Thanks for sharing, my mind is racing for so many ways I could use this.     I have a large container of my different dehydrated mushrooms. I just need some seaweed. I’m so trying this. If my husband detects a mushroom in the food I cook it’s game over for him. Now there is a way to get that goodness in my food. I’m doing this.
