I've been caring for and advocating for my son with autism, epilepsy and self injurious behavior for 33 years. It's been a brutal and pervasive spiritual battle, unmasking an evil system at work, but God's work is often displayed in my son's life. 🙏 And we are all stronger, wiser and more resilient because of all of it.

Ask a mama of a beautiful , joyful soul whom I have cared for for 31 years. I don’t and have never felt
she’s a burden. I have never “fit in” …God was preparing for such a time as the past 31.5 years. I am not called
to “fit in” or be conformed to this word. God
has equipped me for this hard, gut wretching, heartbreaking, joy filled purpose! As long as I continue to walk beside him and draw my strength from his power… I know without a doubt this is my calling. I have had a front row seat to all the lives she has impacted and changed over the past 3 decades. When people say “wow you have a lot on your plate”… my response
    is … It’s
    not my plate, it belongs
to God and he equips and provides every need I have to complete this calling and purpose on my life until he calls me
    home
or he returns. Praise God !

I have a disabled daughter and what many would think is a burden is actually a miraculous gift. I see the world differently because of her. She doesn't care about winning and success and status and clothes and popularity all things the world obsesses about. She is primarily interested in relationships and giving and loving others regardless of what they look like or how popular they are. She has a beautiful soul and she has taught me that that is the real beauty we should seek in others. She is more like Jesus than any person I know.

      what do you mean

    • @CP-qn1mn
      @CP-qn1mn 6 лет назад +2

Why do you think she needs to be healed instead of believing she is perfect the way God made her. If God were to heal her that would be a choice he makes if not she is perfectly equipped to accomplish the mission he has given her.

C Patton it sounds to me from your description of your daughter that she may have Down syndrome. Whether or not that is the case, you have a wonderful child who is exactly how God wanted her to be. Her life has an impact that no-one else can achieve. She has love to give in a way that no-one else can. My youngest was born with Down syndrome. We had him for 15 years and one month then the Lord called him home, but in his short life, he gave more love and joy (and frustration and irritation!) than most people manage in their 3 score years and ten. I believe he completed the tasks he was sent here for both in his life, and in his death. Treasure your child, she is unbelievably precious.

Thank you and I agree. I am sorry to hear about your son but I know you will see him again and that reunion will be a great day a day that will more than make up for the time you have been apart.

I am born blind, and I have a purpose. All disabled children and adults have a purpose. God created us to be beautiful despite our disability.

What can I say but as a mother of a disabled son I have never heard a pastor speak with love and compassion like Ruth is pastor does towards the parent with the disabled son.
Thank you Pastor for your love for people 👍❤️

    No disability in heaven
That I am looking forward to
That we will be able to interact with these special people in their full capacity
    Invite the poor, crippled
    you will be repayed
but even without looking for payment-it's our reasonable service
The relief is that God will make these special people whole in heaven

GOD only gives life in the soul not the earthly body !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the earthly body can have countless mistakes BUT never the soul deep inside the body which is PERFECT [not immortal]

This sounds wrong . So she will prosper ? That is selfish thinking . We want our children to prosper from all that they endure . We want fulfillment not prosperity. Here lies the problem with religion

You must not have listened to the whole video. Also, you must not know John Piper very well, or the Bible.

you know this might just be a "coincidence" but the Christian channels I watch. NONE OF THEM, load any channels on the side bar..... hmmmmmmm.

I don't think there's a conspiracy here as it works for me as I see lots of Christian videos from the channels I watch and don't even watch on the sidebar.

Taking all the passages out of their canonical contexts. The advice sounds hollow! Need to know what can comfort and how to say it-. Did not even answer the questions "how to think about healing and prayer..." Issue of prosper is furthest from the mind of parents like us
Psalms 1 and 2 function as intro to whole Psalter on Davidic Kingship, Speak of Isaiah and Romans as future when these are already described as being fulfilled..
