- All mountain athlete and sky running world champion Emelie Forsberg gave birth to her daughter Maj in March and in our new short film shares how she is finding her legs again as a world class athlete.
True to her background in seasonal farming, gardening and eating, Emelie understands well there is a season for everything, and is taking her time to come back to elite mountain running and skiing form.
“I don’t push my boundaries because I prefer to take small steps and to do it really healthy and slow,” she says. “That might mean my way back will be longer, but that’s who I am. I would regret it so much if I took too big a step and got injured. I want to take things slow.”

Even though this is pertaining to motherhood, the message is so comforting for me as I come back to running after an injury. The slowness and the almost newness of it all. I need to remember to take it slow and enjoy the wave.

Baby Maj will need a lot of attention as her brain develops rapidly in the first five years. Maj must have NO stress. Give Baby Maj ALL the attention she needs, and it will be a LOT. Enhorabuena.
