I love how the deeper you go in the ocean the more alien in appearance the species become. It is easy to see how many of the world's monster folklore would be inspired by frothing and boiling seas, whirlpools and other phenomena, chance encounters in the murk and the occasional gigantic unidentifiable beach find. The ambient sounds and light-play you present the finished piece with add to the mystique of the creature.
The making process can be both challenging and relaxing as you work with different materials, discovering their properties and what they will let you create with them, inspiring new ideas along the way. I really enjoy seeing how other makers approach a creative concept and resolve the engineering difficulties without compromising their aesthetic. No matter how technical the solution, there is something magical in seeing intangible abstract ideas made manifest.
Thank you to the wAw team for sharing, and good luck to all commentors. I like a lot of different numbers for various reason. Here I'll choose the oft-forgotten zero [ 0 ] because a circle can symbolise many things including the infinite possibilities of imagination.

While I watched I came up with a tiny story:
_Baby Charybdis fell asleep on its way to the surface, to its daily whirlpool practices, since it didn't know yet how to create one._
_There it was, coral covered baby, fast asleep. Suddenly it started to snore, and soon it was snoring so much it caused its first whirlpool!_
_Ofcourse, when it woke up it did not know that it already knew how to create a whirlpool._

Cool idea! I used to get nightmares about this as a teenager, after a class on ancient mythology introduced me to the stories. I’m long over the nightmares. Haven’t had one in more than a decade. But I still find a lot of scope for imagination in these tales. I like the concept that Charybdis is something like a larval form of another creature. Have you ever looked at a Hercules Beetle larva? Seriously, look it up! They’re the freakiest looking things, and absolutely HUGE! Your Charybdis reminds me a bit of a Hercules Beetle larva. Makes me wonder what the adult form of your Charybdis would be! Yikes! My favourite number is 55.
