Brilliant. I’m a disabled vet and just got into DAWs a few yrs back. FL Studio was most accommodating to my way to processing so I purchased it, learned quite a bit (v. 12) and after a 2 yr setback, I’m back to FL 20 relearning basics and the Sunday of additions. I’ve watched an exponential number of videos, benefitted from many, but your method of “cutting to the chase” and recognizing that newbies (like me at 66yr) aren’t necessarily daft. I applaud your efforts and hope to invest in your efforts before too long. Dr. Rich

You should have more than a million subscribers very soon. Definitely the best RUclips channel for FL Studio. Learnt more from you than any of the other paid and free courses. The knowledge and tips and tricks you share are normally very closely held secrets that most producers keep to themselves and charge an arm and leg for. I work in a music instrument retailer in the studio section and this is the only FL channel I ever suggest.

It should be noted that single letter key shortcuts for tools only work with 'typing keypad to piano keypad' toggled off. The location of the button to toggle this off is to the lower right of the tempo indicator and directly right of the song position bar at the top of FL Studio. A shortcut to toggle this on or off is Ctrl + T. However, you can't use it this way in the Playlist window as Ctrl + T is assigned to 'adding a Time Marker and auto-naming it (Auto #x)'. The above video starts discussing these single letter key shortcuts for tools at position 3:00.

I want to mention that the numbers running across the top are measure counts, not time signature, or time in minutes / seconds. It's time in the sense of how many measures a song runs. :) This could use an update! :D i'm trying to find a way to name certain measures so I can more easily find parts in my music. I can denote things by rows, but not anything vertically, like "here is the bridge, here's the chorus, here's transition one" etc. really hoping to find that! and I did!!! WOOO!!! as always, in the mix has what I need for FL studio! ALT+T = create marker!

Maybe a stupid question, but I just have to ask. If I want to learn how to create music on Taishi level (see Taishi - False God, or Nhato - Magic or Nhato - Gekka), do you think it is reachable? I mean, is it possible for me to learn how to create music like that? If so, how long do you think someone needs to practice to obtain that level of expertise, and in which direction I should focus my learning effort to achieve my goal? I understand that it won't be at my grasp within months, but I'm wondering if it is a matter of years or decades xD

You have touched upon something that I am trying to figure out atm. I have been using FL Studio for 3 days now and I’m trying to learn it as I have been given many project folders from clients etc; I figured it’s time to REALLY learn it. Can you please explain to me why, when you drag audio in to the playlist, whilst it adds the clips to a channel but it does not immediately link it to an insert in the mixer? If I right click on the channel it creates, the option to assign it to an insert is greyed out. I can manually change the settings from the channel rack and then change then at the the mixer but that seems so long winded and old fashioned. Is there a way of being able to set it up so that the audio I drag in to the playlist is not only linked to a new channel in the channel rack but I have the option to assign the channel to its own insert? And not have to manually do it each time cuz it’s a real ball ache. Also, if I drag the audio directly into a new channel in the rack, if I assign it to an insert, the mixer reflects the name of the sample or channel name; doesn’t do that the other way! Sorry for the LONG comment / question but it’s sending me up the wall. I really love your channel! I’m learning FL really well thanks to your professional vids 🤟🏻
