Probably only point I disagree with Mike is that Kurdish majority areas will be governed by Kurds. That would be OK if there were any Kurdish majority areas in Northeast Syria but probably apart from Kobane (& Afrin used to be 90% Kurdish), there is none. Pretty much all the cities are majority Arab. I think 65% to 70% of Northeast Syria is Arab & 5% Christian. There is no way a group of Marxist Leninist Kurds can govern 70% Arab region for long.
To suggest that the US should have worked closely with Erdogan sounds like a call by a clandestine Turkish lobbyist. Turkey now supports HTS - an ex ISIS group - is this what the fellow from the Hudson Institute advertises? Perhaps also to get rid of Kurds like Turkey had done with the 1M of Armenians in 1916?

@@websitemartian OK I can do that. But actually if I own a property title, the land is mine, not the government of the day. So if someone drives me off my land it does not really matter who governs, I just want my land rights respected
Thank you to our host and panel of guests
What a lineup!
Mike’s view is pretty persuasive on Syria
al-Golani may not be interested in war with Israel, but can the same be said in reverse?
Trump should use Mike as an Advisor.

Mike shut be envoy for the Middle East
Mike's grimace every time erdogan is brought up is hilarious... he came for whiskey, and he left no longer employed as an erdogan advisor
The regime couldn’t pay any longer their Army. That meant the tank operators, etc, took $$$$$ and walked away from the fight.
Don’t bring Turkey’s lobbyists
The Turks are not Arabs and Iran is not Arab (Iran is Persian)

Who is al-Golani? (Who was he?) we will see how women are treated. Do they climb back down from professions and academia and The Judicial?
I quit like many
Bizzare to listen to people unquestioningly supporting Israel as if it was a religious duty.
do you know what an ally is? unfortunately, isreal was attacked first ..... everything that happened after that isnt their fault
blah blah .. don't attack Israel and ya won't get hurt
@websitemartian Can I criticize the actions constituting the nakba?

No wonder there are no comments to this juvenile chit chat …. more seriously lying and ignoring history.
