If you’re still feeling the same way, you need to get medical help if you haven’t already. But for now, if you haven’t already, take paracetamol (acetaminophen) and ibuprofen to take temperature down as long as you’re not allergic to them. And it will help with the pain. An infection can become systemic, affecting your whole body. Simply put, an infection can turn into full blown sepsis which is a medical emergency. high temperature (above 38.5C/101.5F) is an indication of sepsis or severe infection. Swelling of the face can affect your airways too. Body shakes, pretty major shakes, not like a gentle shiver (called rigours), vomiting, severe headache, slurred speech are also signs. If this sounds remotely possible, call emergency services and say suspected sepsis. Or (hopefully it’s this) it could be two things at once? Covid is slowly creeping up at the moment too, though no where near what it was. Could be ‘flu along side the tooth infection. Whatever it might be, you do need to be checked out to be sure as you may need IV antibiotics or at least oral antibiotics for the tooth infection. (No pain can be a result of the infection , but I can’t remember why. Maybe the nerve is compressed?) Let me know how you are if you feel up to it! I hope this gets sorted quickly - take care.
