  • After the tiny house was all finished up I decided to take a week long trip down through Joshua Tree National Park and ending at the Salton Sea. The history of the Salton Sea has always fascinated me and it's been something that I've wanted to see with my eyes for quite awhile. While I was there I also ventured into Slab City and saw Salvation Mountain.
On the way home I finally found where the radiator had been leaking from. I had been smelling coolant for quite some time but just wasn't able to track down where it was coming from. I guess there will be a new radiator in the near future!

+ben shafer Solar panel is a Solar Cynergy 120w panel which cost about $175 delivered 5 years ago. They have come down quite a bit in price since then. Roof box is a Yakima Space Booster. Thanks!

+ben shafer The slabs are where people can go to camp out in the middle of the desert for free. Similar to BLM land. I recommend checking out one of the many documentaries on Slab City. Thanks!
