Newborn mallard ducklings are very happy and excited in a peaceful vernal pond in May forest

There is a very large and peaceful vernal pond in Bois-de-Liesse Nature Park, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was very quiet in a sunny afternoon (May 11, 2024), then I noticed waves appeared in water. There were 9 newly hatched mallard ducklings and their mother! They are very happy, very exciting to embrace this new world!
