FluentPet Connect vs Speak Up Buttons- Are They Worth The Hype?

  • FluentPet has made changes to their “classic” buttons by adding the “Speak Up” model with the speaker on top, preventing muffling and decay of sound through the obscuring of the hextiles. Now, FluentPet has gone further with their Connect model, which connects buttons via Bluetooth to a speaker. When the learning hits the button, it lights up, activates the speaker, and sends an alert to your phone via the FluentPet app - it’s like getting a text message from your pet! I’m loving the clarity of the new system and can’t wait to integrate it with my Alexa and other smart technology. #dogshorts #talkingdog #talkingcat

Great info thanks! I have a 3lb chi that I’m trying to teach to use the fluent pet buttons. We have the ones with the speaker on top, but not the connect set. My problem is that he’s not big enough to activate them lol. Does the connect activate easier? Or is there a way to adjust the sensitivity? Thank you!

Do the connect buttons work if the wifi goes off, which is a problem I have sometimes.

Yes but you wouldn’t get the notifications until the wifi came back. The sound will still come out though

Awesome comparasion thanks! So you would reccommened the connect i guess? I wonder if it would be more difficult for a new learner to learn as the sound doesn't come from the button?? Also can't put one button somewhere else (like water bowl) when learning?

I’m not sure the reach of the Bluetooth (yet) but I’ll find out when I try to put a second “outside” button downstairs. As far as the speaker, it seems it actually helps that the buttons light up. One concern I DO have though is modeling on location - we brought our “hike” button hiking, so we will need to keep a couple classic buttons specifically for modeling purposes
