    Watching Roodle enjoy his spa day was so fun. All of the hikes and waterfalls were very beautiful, and this campground seems like the perfect place to enjoy everything around it too. Great video!

    I love Treman SP! I took the kids every summer for a day of swimming and a picnic.
    I was there once after a flash flood and the swimming hole was washed out and had a large pile of gravel in it. Apparently it has happened before.
    It really is the best swimming hole. Deep, diving board, swim to the falls, the stone steps to sit on and access the water and shallower water away from the falls.
    You didn't mention that there is paid camping there and a picnic area near the parking lots. Upper and lower. Upper is nicer.

      +Michael Bennett of course I had to bring my big girl camera. Storm trooper is not doing so well…. We have an appointment on the 16th in Fargo. We are hoping it’s the wheel bearing or cv axle…. Worst case scenario is transmission.

    I am in NY now, for last 2 weeks or so. The weather has been great.! I had no idea NY had such great falls to visit and hike until you posted about them. Did this park yesterday. Watkins Glen today! Awesome. Thanks for posting about them. Workouts both of them.

    I remember mentioning to you that if you visited this area, you would love it.
    I have a lot of friends from Geneseo and Mt Morris.
    I spent many summers exploring the parks and area.
    We used to canoe and kayak the river in the Gorge.
    You captured the spirit of the area in your videos 👍.
    Glad you liked it.

    Nice free spot for sure. I saw it’s 10 bucks to dump at the state park in town so that’s an option for me. Those parks are amazing. Who knew NY had all that. It’s not just NYC as everyone thinks. May have to check that out next year. 👍🏼

    I think the number one might be Acadia, but it might be a National Park, but maybe there's both. So you're going to leave us in suspense for another week. I guess that's one way to get folks to come back, but it's really not necessary. Keep the good stuff coming guys and give Roodle a treat for me.

    I used to live about 35 miles from there. When you went to buttermilk falls in Ithaca did you also go see Tunkanick falls there too ? its an easy 3/4 mile hike to the falls and that falls is taller than Nagra falls.

    Are you positive on the dates May 3rd to Oct 3rd? The NY Dept of Environmental Conservation website in the "Camping" section for Sugar Hill State Forest indicates that, "The gate is opened to vehicle traffic, and the water turned on, from the 3rd Monday in May through the 3rd Monday in October of each year." Is there a different notice onsite or something to that effect or do you think water will still be on through perhaps Oct 16, the third Monday in Oct 2023 and the website also lists that this location is, "Open for recreation: Year-round". Thank you so much for all that you do and share, I really love your videos!

    • @oneadVANtureatatime
      @oneadVANtureatatime  Год назад

      We got those dates right off the board at the registration desk. I also questioned this because it did also say open year round. Our best guess is the camping is closed after Oct 3rd but it looked like a snowmobile site for winter. Im not sure what that entails. I imagine water shut off and maybe the roads not plowed. Let us know if you find out any other info.
