    Please Sir, per the date of this question; it seams I'm confused with the *periodicity concept* here. The entity purchased the building on 1st January, 2014 with the estimated useful life of 20years. And the gov’t intervention came in on 31st December, 2009.
    Is it that the gov’t intervention date should have been 31st December, 2019 to have a relation with the purchased date of the building given in the question or the purchasing should have been 1st January, 2004 in order to have a relation to gov’t intervention date stated in the question??
    Coz I know *depreciation starts from the date of purchases* of a non current asset and not the opposite
    Please can you clarify that for me; I'm totally confused there.🙏
