50 Vehicles Pile Up on Icy Iowa Highway

- At least one person was seriously injured after about 50 vehicles crashed on Interstate 80 in Iowa, Monday, December 9, during a fast-moving snowstorm.
The pileup happened just east of Des Moines, and parts of the road remained closed for hours, according to Iowa State Patrol Sgt. Alex Dinkla.
The snowstorm created treacherous driving conditions all over the area, forcing law enforcement agencies to respond to dozens of crashes. (AP)
I love how everyone forgets how to drive the second a little snow falls..look how fast everyone is going..right up to the point of impact.

When is the last time you heard this: "In today's news, the plane landed safely, the motorcycle riders had an uneventful excursion, everyone on the freeway made it to their destination, everyone on the wilderness trail made it back okay, the swimmers in shark infested waters had no trouble making it back to shore.......:

No doubt there are dumb people in Iowa that think their insurance will cover it and at the least crucial moment they get a call from their insurance company saying HELLO THIS IS DONNY DEUSTCHBAG CALLING TO INFORM YOU THAT YOU INSURANCE HAS GONE UP thank you and have a great day
I'm guessing most of these folks, with the possible exception of some out of state truckers, should be somewhat used to driving in these conditions!

This is our second or third snow this year, somehow everyone seems to completely forget how to drive in the snow from year to year.
Its always Iowa isnt it! 😂😂😂😂 Iowa native myself but it's funny how many Iowa drivers totally forget how to drive in this stuff and they deal with it 2 to 3 months out of the year.
Always check road conditions by tapping gas pedal at straight stretch while driving at normal speed

They are all too stupid and follow too close. That's the reason for pile ups. Notice when you drive how everyone is so close. Not even the for every 10mph 1car length away rule. They drive so close so people can't cut them off. Brakes are only useful when you have time to stop haha
That's all well and good *if your car is front wheel drive* . Doing the same in a rear wheel drive vehicle could kick you sideways enough to spin you out.

Problem here is no one knows how to brake. They just slam the brakes. and hold it in.

If you can't see multiple brake lights in front of you how do you expect to see a person standing on the side of the road? Let alone be driving fast and close to someone in the hazardous conditions. People are dumb and this video shows it
