Our daughter is a Freshman at Salve Regina University (we are from Pennsylvania)… it is everything you could imagine! She is in the all girls a Capella group and they have the joy of singing at all the special on campus gatherings. She sits at the beach in between classes, Sits at the top of 40 steps when she needs to do deep contemplation, and yes, does tons of IG moments amongst the daffodils. She is one lucky girl. And Lordy do we love to visit her as much as we can! ⛵️

Ooooh I just loved Newport, walking around town & out touring the mansions. I was 6 months pregnant on that trip- that part was a little challenging 😂. Can't WAIT to visit Essex, CT!!!

I'm from NJ originally and was offered a full scholarship to Salve Regina U in 1997. I went to their orientation, but declined the offer at the end. As much as I loved that preppy, coastal Abercrombie lifestyle, I felt out of place financially. I decided on a more academically challenging, yet diverse, school and was not disappointed! Very beautiful, though.
The scenery is beautiful in Newport reminds me of Annapolis MD. Thanks for sharing ❤

Looks like a great conference; just wish there was more representation in diversity.
That is a passive-aggressive comment. 1) neither Emily nor her mother have anything to do with the diversity quota of this organization. There was no reason to interject your agenda; 2) no one is preventing or objecting to diversity. Sometimes it is what is is. Why are you blaming the guests who showed up for not being diverse enough just because your ideal of “diverse people” were not interested in attending?

Been to several parties at The Vanderbilt hotel. Used to summer in Newport when I lived in Boston. We had a summer share on Bellevue Avenue. Enjoy your visit, hope you can squeeze in a visit to the Clark Cooke house, so many memories!

Weekdays on the off season is always pretty empty except if it's school breaks. Summer here is crazy.
You should go to Biltmore! Highly Recommend.
