What do you think of the bike? Let us know 👇

    • @adadinthelifeofacyclist

A quiet freewheel means a rider in front can't hear that you're on his/her wheel - useful in races and it probably has less drag. For training, casual and commuter riding a noisy freewheel is safer.
      Campag is beautiful.
I suspect we pronounce the French brand name "Look" incorrectly. Idk but I reckon the French would pronounce the "oo", so it would be more like "Luke" (possible translation "Time is money" or "Time bikes are too expensive" 🤣🤣)

WELL DONE CAMPAGNOLO FOR COMING BACK!!!
A COUPLE OF YEARS BACK, WE HAD THE UAE TEAM, AND WERE WINNING THE TOUR DE FRANCE, ETC ON COLNAGO'S,
THEN UAE DECIDED TO GO WITH SHIMA(NO!)...WHY, WHY, WHY???
IT WAS GREAT SHUTTING UP ALL THOSE SHIMA(NO!) IDIOT'S WHO USED TO SAY CAMPAGNOLO WERE BACKWARD, AND
      HAD POOR PERFORMANCE (LOL!).
BOTH MY TOP-END, CUSTOM=BUILD ROAD BIKES ARE CAMPAGNOLO 12-SPEED SUPER RECORD EPS/WTO WHEELS!!!
MY BIANCHI SPECIALISSIMA, AND MY PANTANI REPLICA ARE BOTH A RIM BRAKE, AND THE COLNAGO IS A DISC MODEL!

I think if Campy's new concept is to sell their groupsets as bike jewelry, they probably shouldn't look exactly like nearly every other groupset on the market. All black is the default now and has been for what, more than a decade? If you release an all black groupset, it's meh, not bling.
Also, white bar tape is awesome, and getting scuffed up a bit doesn't change my mind on that one bit. But the seat needs to be white to match.

I know that the Mondrian livery is a "thing" for Look, but this is a case of the bike making the paint look good instead of the other way around. As far as wanting one . . . you had me at Super Record. Now somebody just needs to create aftermarket thumbshifters that work with this groupset like "blips"

I've been riding a Campy Chorus-equipped Cervelo R3 since it was introduced in 2005(?) and absolutely love it. Especially the thumb shifters!!! I broke down and bought a new Cervelo with a 105 groupset about 2 and a half years ago but i've ridden it maybe 5 times since then because I just love my old Team CSC R3 so much. I'd happily be Campy for life if there were more options on the market.

      As for these comments:
I had a bike store before Shimano added bike gear to their fishing line in the 70s. I know their approach. As for these comments ‘LOOK 795Blade’ on topic, I know they tend to be heavy, but there were no specs..I was saying that it looks very nice, it is the best LOOK color scheme I have ever seen, the Campagnolo 12 speed is what I ride since it was introduced. It is hands down the best system ever. It’s a good choice for a good bike. A good bike has foremost good geometry, weight is secondary.
      Keep riding.

Loving that Campag are back, shame they’re not with UAE or AG2R anymore, but great that they’re striking it hot with Look and Confidis! Imo Campag is too often brushed with “it’s so expensive”, just puts people off from exploring real benefits like the positive shift feel, the ergonomics of the hoods, the serviceability and long standing product support for legacy parts. The wheels are just nuts as well, super fast rolling, just the right amount of free hub sound, really comfy over rougher ground, and tubeless out the box. You really get a lot of background stuff with it that’s not talked about enough.

Thanks for the bike videos, as always.
Would it be possible to have the measured tyre width?
    Thanks 🙂

I went from Shimano 105 to Campy H11 Record and i really only miss the smoothness of the rear down shifting.
The fact that the brake levers will never slip out of my fingers and be pulled every time straight back with precise control as well the raised angle hoods are more than enough to never go back to Shimano for me.

Only Brits, Australians (in Australia it's even mandatory by law ?!?) and some Italians (being used to motorbike setups) do it this way. For technical reasons the left shifter can only be on the the left, so I wonder how anyone thinks that front brake right makes any sense.

@@einundsiebenziger5488 Coming from the US, I like the concept of a right front brake. I'm right handed, so my right hand is stronger and the one I instinctively use first for everything, including braking (as a kid I was always taught the rear brake was safer to avoid going over the handlebars, and I've never really broken free of that habit). If the front brake is the one you're supposed to use more, that should be the one for the primary hand. I'd kind of like to try it. But if I changed it for one bike, I feel like I'd have to re-set up all my bikes, which would be quite the chore.
I just find it interesting that the UK (and I guess most of the commonwealth) has a completely different standard than everyone else.

      lol
Clearly the fact that most of the braking is done by the front brake, and most people are right hand dominant, so it makes sense to control the most important brake with the most dextrous hand seems to have escaped you. And there are plenty of people the world over who set their bikes up with the front brake actuated by the right lever.
Really, it's not that hard to wrap your head around.

Did anyone notice that they are running the old Super Record EPS chainset (looked like 53-39)... Perhaps they are going to drop in the Super Record or Super Record S with Powermeter with custom chain rings at a later date???

Looks mint but the bar tape being so off colour wise bothers me. Couldn’t they have matched the two. Minor but still so bright compared to rest of bike. Makes the handle bars the focal point.
