Yeah, love watching the deleted scenes in movies. Some are pretty good, most are, like this, easily forgettable. We knew enough about the characters, primarily that they were all career criminals, and didn't need all of this superfluous dialog. This was a good cut.
If you look at the woman in the background on the last shot of this scene, you can see her mouthing to her little kid "DON'T. LOOK. AT THE CAMERA." And he WAS looking at the camera the shot before last.
Wow that printer sound really brought me back. My mom was an accountant, her printer was going off like that steady. Most annoying sound when it’s going off non stop.
The scene was right to be deleted because the cops were after Joe, not Mr. White. Also (and don't quote me on this), Mr. Orange didn't find out Larry was Mr. white until after he became undercover.
The fact that they were after Joe doesn't mean they wouldn't have wanted Mr. White to testify against him-the only real plothole is that White didn't say his name was Larry until after Orange got shot, but even then, Orange wouldn't have necessarily had to know his name to get his hometown's files on him.
@@DistractedGlobeGuy when he told the other cop about what football team he likes the other cops said I guarantee they have a long rap sheet on him there so we can presume that they would of found out his name at some stage
@@ReanimatorsMutilations that's exactly what happened, yes. But then it just makes you question why Orange bothered asking White's name when he already knew.
White was the one Freddy befriended and had something on. Of course they were going to investigate him. It's discussed in the movie when Freddy meets the other cop in the diner.
It’s interesting watching this from 0:15 and wondering if there’s a cut before the camera tracks in front of the mirror. There isn’t and the only way I can assume they did it was by knocking a hole in the wall and framing it like a mirror so what what you’re actually seeing is then room next door and not the reflection. You can tell mostly because when the camera tracks all the way round the continuity of the room doesn’t match the room that Freddy is in.
I FOUND THE ADDRESS FOR THIS LOCATION: 8200 San Fernando Rd. at the intersection of Sunland Blvd. in Sun Valley, CA. The burger shack is now a Mexican restaurant called "Robertiroz." I like this scene, but I'm glad it was excised; Orange's story was overlong enough with the commode scene & the background taints White: the voice of compassion & reason becomes a violent cop-killer, ruining our sympathy for him. McCluskey would also ruin the established all-male dynamic, albeit unintentionally.
vaya vaya, muchos años llevaba buscando esta locación, Tarantino siempre escogía los lugares perfectos, tal como lo hizo en pulp fiction, muchas gracias.
At 1:42 they refer to the Blonde woman as "McCluskey". In Tarantino's most recent film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Rick Dalton stars in an WWII Action Adventure film titled "The 14 Fists of McCluskey". What could this mean??
Wow, good spot! Maybe the real McCluskey (on whom the Rick Dalton film was based) was her grandfather, or maybe he just decided to reuse the name. You never can tell with Quentin. Shame she's eating a burger instead of fried sauerkraut- that would've confirmed things hahaha
This scene informs Roth’s shocked reaction to White killing the cops later. White blow up two cops without a second thought with a pair of 45 automatics. In the theatrical release you think Orange is just shocked at that. Seeing this scene you know he’s also just connected that it was White who opened up on a surprise party with no warning.
I love this scene, they make me want a burger. I also like how it shows the investigation and how Roth is closing in on the guys. In addition, the girl is cute, I dig the relationship shown between the three.
Really enjoyed this scene. Ignore the pomposity of the people below me; the people who pretend like they have some stranglehold on good acting. Maybe she isn't the best off set, and maybe it took her more takes, but in these final scenes, she plays that certain type of girl perfectly. You know, the one who is perhaps less jaded then she should be -- or maybe more. Anyways, would have like to see this scene find its way into the film. Also, taking this scene out was sort of a huge missed beat. It showcases Freddy labeling Larry as a cold-hard criminal and not as compassionate human being, and it's that lack of humanity that he expects to see in Lawrence Dimick but gets it spit back in his face when he realizes that the only one on his side -- the only one helping him and holding him as he bleeds -- is the main guy he's trying to put away.
The only reason I think this scene didn't fit is that it gives too much away. Also it bugs me that Freddy dry-fires his weapon at Larry's mugshot, not only is it bad form but I just don't see that level of animosity being appropriate given his obvious sympathy for Mr. White. I like McClusky, though, and it was fun to see Freddy & Holdaway interacting especially the part where Holdaway grabs a cigarette out of Freddy's shirt pocket lol.
The lines she had in this scene sound like something an 8th grader would write in a story to give the reader a bit of background on a character without working too much... I'm glad it was deleted
Just found out her name and then looked her up to see if she’s related to Casey. She is his sister. They look like twins and I never knew till now. Crazy
Fun fact: Reservoir Dogs has zero lines for women in the entire movie... unless you count the noise of that one lady getting shot as a line. I don't know if that makes it better or worse that there WERE some lines for a female in the movie... but they were left on the cutting room floor
Why is if so fucking eargasmic to hear little things like crumbling of paper, shoes tapping on a smooth floor in an echoing hallway, chips in a bag. Tarantino loves to amplify everyday sounds
This is pure gold! Especially since watching & loving this movie all these years! Does it belong in the film? That’s up to debate I guess, some may feel it is, some not. I’ll admit it would seem weird to have this scene included after all this time, it just wouldn’t feel right but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate seeing it. It’s like the scene in “The Godfather” where there’s a scene that shows Michael asking Vito about Sonny, & telling him that he didn’t give his “word” like his father did that he wouldn’t do anything about it to nobody. Never put in the movie even though it was filmed & I’m not sure if it ever was an extra scene in any DVDs. About what the lady cop said about this Dolan guy & what happened to him. It’s kinda rough to say that Larry would’ve been responsible for doing something like that. He’s too smart to do dumb shit like that & like he told Pink “I ain’t no madman either” unlike Mr. Blonde & that would be too far out there to say that Larry did kill Dloan & a bunch of innocent civilians over spite. As he stressed “I”m a professional” & professionals don’t do mad dog punk stuff like that, even Mr. Blonde wouldn’t have done something crazy like that, so that part of it I”m disappointed in. Don’t know how the rest of you feel but feel free to respond.
This scene is well-written, but unfortunately she's really overdoing the cheeseburger (not her fault, I'm sure that's what he told her to do. Nina Siemaszko is a good actress). And the whole Mr. Orange section stops the movie dead in its tracks long enough that anything more would just make the audience restless to get back to the warehouse. We already know Larry hates cops so any further exposition is overkill. I'm glad this scene exists, though.
She was awful and the scene would totally ruin the movie. Hall of fame actors in every scene and then this terrible amateur. It really stands out for the wrong reasobs
Woah.. I cant remember ever seeing a computer or internet in any of Tarantino's films apart from the internet being mentioned once in Kill Bill 2 by Elle, when she tells a dying Budd about how the black mamba's venom works.
That actress is terrible. Also The film really doesn't have any women except the lady that Mr. Orange shoots at the beginning and i don't know she just doesn't belong. I'm not saying this scene would have ruined the film but it's scary thinking about how important editing is for a director. Glad QT left this on the cutting room floor
I disagree. Feels less natural. But that could be because she has the majority of the dialogue, or the lo-fi production value, or maybe fewer takes. Leaning towards the last one. I dunno, it's weird. Definitely not a bad performance by any stretch. Just seems slightly out of place compared to the rest of the cast. Actually, come to think of it, it might just be because the rest of the (undeleted) cast are men.
2:10 is interesting because the camera angle gives the actress time to spit out into a bucket or napkin what she just put in her mouth so she can keep talking. Actors HATE eating on camera, and generally whenever you see someone "eat" something, there's a cutaway to allow them to spit it out so there's no chance of their swallowing messing up their dialog or the flow of the scene.
Goddamn, the hate is strong in these comments! To be honest, I kind of enjoy this scene. I liked the girl character, I mean, she's obviously no Mr. White or something, but she's good. She has a tomboy-ish attitude, and I liked that. It didn't look forced, like a girly girl trying to act like a cop, it seemed natural. I also liked the part when they talked about Larry, it made him seem like a hardened criminal when really he probably isn't, because of the way he treated Mr. Orange in the warehouse. I disliked the beginning when Orange points a gun at White's photo, and pretends to shoot it, because it sort of changes the relationship Orange and White had, it makes it look like he was only friends with him to kill him. I also disliked the scene when they talk about the undercover cop, it foreshadows the ending. Overall, I liked this scene, and the movie would still be great with or without it.On a side note...the girl is beautiful! Her hair is ideal, and she sure rocks a coral leather jacket.and on a different side note, the way orange said 'shut the fuck up' reminds me of every guy in my grade for some reason.....
This black guy simply wasn’t cool enough for Q to use again. He found the coolest dude in Samuel J. Imagine how much Tarantino films would have changed without Jackson.
I love how there's no shit talking 15 year olds in the comment section. All really valid observations. I think this scene was meant to deepen the relationship between White and Orange for the purpose of making when he reveals that he's a cop to White more impacting. And also to add more dimension to the friendship that ends up developing between them, overall. It creates conflict within Orange. And you know what, I think it does a great job of accomplishing all of those things. The problem is that there's just not enough other material in the movie to flesh that angle out any further. It feels out of place.
I woke up thinking about this deleted scene and how annoyed I was at the girl eating throughout it. Tim Roth can choke down his food, yet pronounce his lines with clarity. Why can't she? Also, I think this scene is a ode to off the beaten path burger restaurants given the camera's dramatic dolly to the golden arches in the background of Miss Siemaszko. I'm sure if QT could of made it a big kahuna restaurant he would have.
+rightsman123 I've noticed in this movie that all these scenes that were deleted needed to be. That's very good considering that this was an early point in QT's career. In some movies, scenes are deleted only because of time restrictions while in other movies, they don't delete anything when they should. Peter Jackson's remake of King Kong comes to mind.
You can see why it was deleted. It many be the lack of close ups to emphasise the thoughts of the characters or it may just be the fact Cindy Lauper should have stuck to singing. The dog getting shot and the general criminal chaos of the story shuold be funny but it isn't. I know Tim Roth isn't american so I'n never quite convinced of him as an american, good actor though he is.
It's not a well-written scene. It's too writer-ly. The script is trying to hard to set Mr. White up as something very dangerous and up the stakes for Freddy (which it does elsewhere in much more effective ways). And so it tells this kind of overwrought, over-written story of one dude taking out a room full of people. Sucks for this actress to get her part cut from the film. And she did alright with some not very good dialogue. But that's often the way it goes. Even the Mickey Dolenz reference felt kind of crowbarred in. Good thing Tarantino had the sense to cut the scene.
So Tarantino! I LOVED IT. It doesn't fit Reservoir Dogs, but it is still a very nice scene to watch. I love the performance and the atmosphere, it's like a great Quentin's sketch, a treat for the ones who like his imagery and techniques.
This is a perfect deleted scene. It definitely doesn't belong in the movie, but watching it after you've seen the movie is cool just to get another glimpse into the world.

I love the way she eats and drinks
Damn I love how natural people are shown eating in Tarintino's films.
Technically depicted out of his movies as well
Naturalistic. Naturalistic as hell
Wow that printer sound really brought me back. My mom was an accountant, her printer was going off like that steady. Most annoying sound when it’s going off non stop.
She did great! But maybe I'm just biased, she's so hot/cute!
You’re biased. It’s objectively bad acting
@@tonyc8752 you're right lol
I can see why this was cut. However, of all the scenes deleted from this film, this would be the one that could've been left in the film.
I FOUND THE ADDRESS FOR THIS LOCATION: 8200 San Fernando Rd. at the intersection of Sunland Blvd. in Sun Valley, CA. The burger shack is now a Mexican restaurant called "Robertiroz."
I like this scene, but I'm glad it was excised; Orange's story was overlong enough with the commode scene & the background taints White: the voice of compassion & reason becomes a violent cop-killer, ruining our sympathy for him. McCluskey would also ruin the established all-male dynamic, albeit unintentionally.
vaya vaya, muchos años llevaba buscando esta locación, Tarantino siempre escogía los lugares perfectos, tal como lo hizo en pulp fiction, muchas gracias.
The more you watch this the more you realize how much of a miracle RD is
She's using Atari computer, feels so weird now...
McCluskey was also the name of the corrupt cop in The Godfather.
It showcases Freddy labeling Larry as a cold-hard criminal and not as compassionate human being, and it's that lack of humanity that he expects to see in Lawrence Dimick but gets it spit back in his face when he realizes that the only one on his side -- the only one helping him and holding him as he bleeds -- is the main guy he's trying to put away.
nice analyze, well done.
You make some very valid points. I thought she did fine.
She was awful. Tarantino said so himself. Stop being a simp
The lines she had in this scene sound like something an 8th grader would write in a story to give the reader a bit of background on a character without working too much...
I'm glad it was deleted
Good think it didn't make the final cut.
She has a somewhat rock chick way of narrating the disrupted birthday party...
It's awesome that that is Suzzi from Airheads
Feel terrible for the actress who cant say she was in Reservoir Dogs after this was deleted.
Give the woman an Oscar!
Her performance was too good for the oscars.
Just found out her name and then looked her up to see if she’s related to Casey. She is his sister. They look like twins and I never knew till now. Crazy
fuking old 90's printers, that noise is like a fuking visit to the dentist
Reminds me of shotty jobs I had in the early 00s while in college.
Fun fact:
Reservoir Dogs has zero lines for women in the entire movie... unless you count the noise of that one lady getting shot as a line.
2:59 is Tim Roth stoned or something😂
With a plan like that what could go wrong
She never stops chewing long after she stopped eating
She plays her part better than the other two actors. With a bit of added production this scene would excellent.
Orange pisses me off. His fanaticism on ratting Larry out before he needed his help.
One thing that dates it is the computer screen and the printer - so very 1990s.
Lovely seeing an Atari ST in film when it was still contemporary 🕹️
Wow never knew about this scene. Glad I didn’t skip this and watched it.
That’s Casey Szeimasko’s kid sister. She was also in “Lonesome Dove” as Janey.
Freddy Eat A Vegetable One Time Challenge
Does anyone wish this movie was 2 hours and 30 minutes?
I love how all the characters have east coast accents but it’s set in LA😂
2:10 is interesting because the camera angle gives the actress time to spit out into a bucket or napkin what she just put in her mouth so she can keep talking. Actors HATE eating on camera, and generally whenever you see someone "eat" something, there's a cutaway to allow them to spit it out so there's no chance of their swallowing messing up their dialog or the flow of the scene.
Big Kahuna burgers?
I really think this scene is really interesting to watch and it should of been part of the movie that's my opinion anyway
I love deleted scenes
Thank you for this. This is gold.
I agree completely
Orange was trying to train himself into hating White like he was supposed to because the old man was too nice to him for him to hate him organically
He really does love that circling camera.
I wonder what the relation is from Larry dimick to Jimmy dimick from the Bonnie situation in pulp fiction
Or why Larry Dimick looks strangely like Mr.Wolf
@@ReanimatorsMutilations and why Mr. Orange looks like Pumpkin. The Dogs got the wrong twin.
This black guy simply wasn’t cool enough for Q to use again. He found the coolest dude in Samuel J. Imagine how much Tarantino films would have changed without Jackson.
the chick and Steve Buscemi were in Airheads
I love how there's no shit talking 15 year olds in the comment section. All really valid observations. I think this scene was meant to deepen the relationship between White and Orange for the purpose of making when he reveals that he's a cop to White more impacting. And also to add more dimension to the friendship that ends up developing between them, overall. It creates conflict within Orange. And you know what, I think it does a great job of accomplishing all of those things. The problem is that there's just not enough other material in the movie to flesh that angle out any further. It feels out of place.
This “actress” didn’t belong in the movie anyhow
No wonder this scene got cut, she keeps talking with her mouth full 😂
He is a real pro.....he has been arrested like 20 times
Even the damn deleted scene is really good.
wow all this happened between him getting shot in the belly and escaping to the hideout?
+Jon-Erich Smith Is this Nina Siemaszko?
I am not sure.
Jon-Erich Smith
Yes it is. I checked. :)
Cute but yes, kinda wrong for this role and this flick. She's the sister of Casey Siemaszko, the short guy from Young Guns.
The same t-shirt of Lance in Pulp Fiction
eating and talking aside, there's too much unnecessary info on mister white...i'm glad it was cut!
It's like a trite detective cop TV show.
Interesting, but I'm glad they took this out. Would have made the connection between Orange and White feel less real
This deleted scene made me hungry. Let's get a taco.
Saw this deleted scene when I had the 10th anniversary DVD and it always makes me want a burger.
Imagine being the actress and your scene is deleted in such a movie
So Tarantino! I LOVED IT. It doesn't fit Reservoir Dogs, but it is still a very nice scene to watch. I love the performance and the atmosphere, it's like a great Quentin's sketch, a treat for the ones who like his imagery and techniques.

Yeah, yeah. Whatever.
