You can do it solo but you will need to go fairly slow when it comes to the actual dungeon. Also I should have mentioned that from what I remember if you die in the dungeon you will lose the stuff as you cannot re-enter. It would be a group activity or at least have the torch of eternity mask to make sure you will be safe in the case of going down. And yes the snow biome to begin with is horrendous but once you get steel gear it becomes fairly easy.

Alright thanks, im lvl 48 now, so steel here we come. I got myself a mechanical steel hammer, hope that will be enough once i get the armor
