Imo Luke showed the utmost confidence and poise in his game up until his approach on hole 16 when the disc "fell out of his hand" and came up short left of the pin. The fact that Gannon did the same tho gave Luke another chance, especially seeing Gannons tee shot on 17 end up well short and right, with that Luke had an opened door but again, he showed nerves with an early release and landing even farther back the Gannons bad tee shot. Those 2 throws from Luke were the tournament imo. Gannon is winning not only because his all around strong game, but also because his mindset in these pressure situations. He has the experience of knowing what the "other side" looks like, whereas Luke and Ezra do not in those situations. Also, i was hard on Gannon earlier this year about his attitude after spit outs and he read my comment and im glad he did, so should he read this comment, i want to say that ive seen a big improvement in his overall attitude when things arent going his way, it shows in his game and obviously with the winning hes doing. It was meant as constructive criticism then, so I got to give credit, where credit is due. Good job young man!
it was a mind boggling hole from luke there. You gotta think playing it safe is the play after seeing gannon's mistake. Hopefully his decision making in pressure situations improves
He made the bad choice of going for it instead of making Gannon go for it. He should have played 17 safer. He would have had a chance of making it to a playoff and securing 2nd place at least. 17's green is insane.
@feelthepayne88 I agree with that, but my point was that the damage mentally and to his game was already done prior to that throw, from his 2 previous throws being 1: his approach on hole 16 and 2: his tee shot on hole 17. I can't even blame his throw honestly because his throw was the product of his mental game in that situation, the same thing that we all saw on his approach on hole 18 at Waco, which by the way he was even lucky to have the lie he had for that approach shot because he actually early released his tee shot on that throw as well but it got lucky as hell and went though the two big tree trucks, it could be easily hit that tree and Gannon could've walked that one in. It's obvious Luke puts Gannon on a pedestal, both as a friend but mostly as a player, he shoes that every time Gannon is on GK Pro Skins, I wonder if that is where the pressure subconsciously comes from in those situations, if it isn't all self induced subconsciously. Anyways, just my take on it all. At least it was exciting to watch.
Holyn is the worst player on tour at holding a lead but maybe the best when trying to chase. Getting her first win in this fashion was not really a surprise to me
There is a course on Catalina Island which has ancient baskets with like actual barnacles and sea muck that catch everything! Seems like they are made of clay when you throw at them and makes a thumpy lumps sound when hit.
Sponsor rankings request: Add Golds, Silvers, and Bronze counts for each. More accessible to understand the success of the sponsor's players, vs. "36 points". Even if its not used to crown the winner, would be interesting to hear.
What if the entire basket is still metal, but the center pole is either a softer plastic or has a cushion that absorbs the disc instead of bouncing it off the pole?
My area doesnt have a worlds level course. So i wont be asking them to place a worlds bid. Dickerson just torched our courses at Tennessee states. I dont wanna see 6 players shoot 16 under or better for multiple rounds.
I'm about 34 minutes in right now - I want Hunter to engage Konnor a bit more rather than take up 90% of the talk time. Big fan of the show, just want to see ya'll dial in the synergy together!
Calvin doesn’t win: “it’s been exactly 368 days and counting since his last pro tour win and you just have to have wins” Ricky doesn’t win: “man, it’s just really hard to win on tour”
I miss the good ole days of the Paul and Ricky era! You could be playing amazing and if Paul or Ricky are within 3 strokes you were terrified of getting run down and beat!
You didn’t talk about the trophies, I’m literally shocked😂 or maybe you just wanted to let Trevor get back so he could rant about them, that’s def one of his things for sure. Either way trophies were rough 😅
Can you put GL clips on a new channel please? I watch the full show every week but had to turn off notifications because you clip too much and I already saw that content on the show. it's annoying.
come on Pwheat Bro, haha.. , a quick check of the website will show I have Simon at a 95, Buhr at a 96.. but again, it is all stat driven, not subjective.. I bet Gannon moves up to a 97-98 after the past week..
@@EdwinsStats My bad Edwin, I could of swore on the episode with Simon he was #1, but went back and checked, and all you said was he was your favorite player.
I think baskets are fine. Thousands of putts are hitting them over a weekend on the pro tour so the variable of a missed putt is going to show up. This talking point is so overhyped.
Why on Earth am I getting 5 minutes of ads every podcast on Spotify when I pay for the service? You already run ads in RUclips why am I listening to ads on a platform I pay a subscription
My home course only needs like 4-6 holes redesigned for a proish layout vs a regular gold layout. But the problem would be spectators would be like full camo in the woods to be able to watch.
very confused by konner saying he played disc golf with his sister in law’s boyfriend….? Does that mean she’s married to your brother, but also has a boyfriend on the side? or did you call your brother your sister in laws boyfriend? 😂
Older baskets spit out more if you ask me. I always notice the practice baskets which get used much more tend to spit out more than those on the course, of the same brand and model. Probably just has to do with how often they hit the target and with pace.
@Jabluuu well.. theres a means for you to watch and see the ending. Whether you choose to watch it that way or not is up to you, but if not, you're ultimately forfeiting your right to find out the surprise by yourself. That or stay off social media? Do you expect the same for the superbowl, if you don't happen to watch it do you get mad that minutes after on Twitter you'll know regardless. Cmon now
I like the New Baskets causing more putting anomalies theory.

I like the theory about the baskets. Maybe we need to season the chains like they season the balls in the NFL etc.

I always kinda wondered if Trevor prepped for Trivia. I’m thankful now for whatever amount of preparation he does😂 still a great show guys!
Never went back to the sporacle questionnaire thing! Was looking forward to the answerrs
Really wanted this one for Luke. Played a hell of a tourney
You guys should put Gavin up on the list and bump out mint
I really like hunters take about older baskets catching better than newer ones. I haven't heard it before and i think it could be right
Where can you find the information for the manufactures cup spreadsheet?
Beautiful people, beautiful men
very dreamy, indeed.
Dang, never figured out the missing mid in Pauls bag
Stalker? Not sure if that counts as a mid or not

The cardinal is a Stokely disc, but that may not have been the case yet when this quiz was created.
What if the entire basket is still metal, but the center pole is either a softer plastic or has a cushion that absorbs the disc instead of bouncing it off the pole?
What about some sort of coating on the chain links?
I think its too early to be talking about luke like that. If anything it seems like hes entering his prime right now off these performances
Hole 18 is in the opposite side of the main parking lot to hole one, playing the same direction.

I bet Konner’s sister-in-law’s boyfriend’s degree is kinesiology. That’s what all the sporty people I went to college with were getting degrees in.

I don't think Ricky is far off from a win. I'm rooting for him. And rooting against a random Lyme's flare-up.
No longer relevant TBH. People are giving Calvin his props.
You guys played a slightly different layout. You also played some different holes. The course got harder this year.

Ricky missed a 15ft putt on the short hole for birdie. Could have won
Can confirm, Topeka actually does suck 😂
The spitouts are happening because pros putt 2x or 3x harder than us normies.
Is Gannon called the ice man because he takes sooo long to throw? Because he’s icing other players?
Can you put GL clips on a new channel please? I watch the full show every week but had to turn off notifications because you clip too much and I already saw that content on the show. it's annoying.
Agreed it seems like it's pretty typical to put that stuff on a separate channel
What this guy said!
I didnt know what I was talking about when I made my first comment, lol

Haha.. I’m just messing with you. I might have “tweaked” Simon’s ratings a bit to better reflect how he ranks in my favorite players list
Shouldn't this be Episode 243 or am I missing something?

Nah Topeka definitely sucks.

Sister-in-law can mean his brother’s wife OR his wife’s sister. Gonna guess the latter on this one.
Get Trevor back

Relax. He’s on vacation with his family.
Connor when he sees this -> 😞

Thank god Trevor is unbearable
I wanted to see the pros play Echo Valley near Dayton Ohio, but then i saw Corey Ellis play it and made me realize how sad my game is 🥲
