I just listened to Bethune version and while it sounds great , it doesn’t do it for me. When i think of my first love this covers it to the tee ! The emotion , the expression etc...this was awesome ! I respect Bethune but they don’t own this , it’s just a song. A song that Simmons and Southern has taken to another level. Give them the respect they deserve !
