You guys keep showing me more places that I can wait for us to visit! It's stunning. Btw I really love the panning still shots you add to the video. You have a great eye for it.
+Michelle Fichter Thank you so much! We love taking pano shots with our phones so I like featuring them whenever possible. I'm glad to hear you enjoy them! Keep adding places to your list! Do you have a system yet for tracking places to visit? If not I highly recommend Evernote.
Great video. Kathy and I and our two grands will be leaving Ohio July 10 and going west. The Dunes are our last NP on the return leg the last week of July. We will start with Rushmore then Yellowstone - Teton - Moab with Arches and Canyonlands, South to Mesa Verde, Durango then up to Dunes on to Black Canyon gorge and home! Whew that list is a lot when I start typing. Good to catch glimpses of the parks from all the Utube vids.
+Jay Low That sounds like an amazing trip!! How long is the trip covering all those places? We did 10,000 miles with the kids last summer covering the Oregon Coast, Crater Lake, Redwoods, Yosemite, Kings Canyon/Sequoia, Grand Canyon and Yellowstone and it was NUTS! :) Awesome but tiring, lol
+Rick Allen No plans to do so right now! It would definitely look cool! We think that we will have the truck longer than the trailer, though, and then we'd have a funny looking setup if the truck were paired with a totally different trailer!
Stunning view! That's my kind of campsite...actually...I've liked A LOT of the places where you guys have stayed! Good job, Christie, getting these videos up to current... ; ) only 9 days behind now! I don't know how much lag time you like to keep between real time and posting. I know some vloggers like to have a few days' cushion for safety. How cold/warm was it here and were you allowed to have a campfire?
+Diane Craig Thanks!! I like it right here, about a week to a week and a half behind real life. I'm happy with that. When we were at the dunes it was a bit chilly, it snowed the last day. It was super windy. Campfires were allowed, there were rings at each site. Too cold for me to sit outside and enjoy a fire, though. You'll see more about the campground in an upcoming video :-D
Hello from Alberta Canada! A couple of things from this post.....face time is an cool solution for those of us that can't see the hitch, although I am concerned about the safety....where is she standing...behind the truck under the fifth wheel? A selfie stick would be handy. I use a GoPro with built in WiFi. I stuck a mount on my box where I can sit the camera when I need it. It broadcasts to my smartphone through the free GoPro App. There is a 1 second delay so you have to back in slowly but it does the trick. You mentioned that a viewer had you measure your AirStream for a piano....Seriously? I don't know all the details but again this is extremely dangerous. That piano will be fired forward like a missile in an accident or a panic stop. I don't believe you could secure a conventional piano properly given the weight of it and the RV structure. I hope i'm misinformed. My CV for the last 30 years focused on safety, security and risk management...I can't help but to raise a concern. I have to say....the Air Stream motor home is too awesome for words.....exceptional find. I look forward to more videos on the renos. I hope your convergence goes well...take care.
+Stephen Snow Hi there, and thanks for the concern! This is Christie :) No danger at all when backing up. I stand on the side of the truck and make sure my feet are clear. He is able to see it well. The GoPro solution sounds cool. I just don't think we need to buy anything right now since this is working for the time being :) We would like to go back to a fifth wheel hitch in the future, once we can properly adapt our truck bed, and then he is able to back up without assistance. Yes a viewer asked me for measurements for a piano. I provided the measurements... what they do with those is totally up to them :) I am assuming they have plans to completely secure it in there, if they choose to actually follow through with installing a piano :) While I appreciate your concern, I am really not involved in that decision. Glad to hear you like the Airstream, and we look forward to getting our hands on it this fall!
Love your stuff, thank you!!! Can you please tell me which video you did that has some information on the storage "box" you have on the back of your fifth wheel? I think I remember seeing something about it but don't remember.
+Spot The Scotts // FULL TIME RVing Life! No problem. You can just give me a few details of your setup if you don't mind, (receiver size, box size/brand, weight, etc.)
+Ramon Ferguson Brian says it is DeWalt brand but he is not sure size or weight. He bought it at Home Depot. He thinks due to the way you phrased your comment that you are also asking about the rack the box sits on.... that same standard with our Montana and is not something that we added. I hope this helps!
hey so I noticed that you guys need a backup camera that would help him back up a lot easier into the gooseneck and his truck is designed for it it's just a matter of hooking it up and also we were thinking about getting one of those fifth wheels from Montana how do you like yours overall
+jerry denning we are waiting as we plan to switch to a fifth wheel hitch this fall. For now he just needs minimal help from me, and sometimes doesn't need any at all :) We've just had the issue with the leveling system but other than that we love our Montana. Layout and storage are working well for us and we are very comfortable and happy!
I sure miss being able to travel and camp.... I got a beautiful 2013 Can Am Spyider with a trailer and all me camping stuff... But me body is to broken to travel... Thanks to a person in a Cadillac Escalade was more worried about their cell phone than me and me sweetie on me motorcycle back in September of 2012.... I bought me Spyder in hopes that I would be able to travel again, but so far me body is still to much still broken :( Maybe 1 day soon it will heal up to where I can get back on the road :) It's all in GOD'S time not mine... SO HAVE FUN KIDS :)
Yes we have both but no we do not. The fifth wheel is our full time home & airstream is going to be like our vacation home :) After we renovate it. Right now it's hanging out in storage until we get back in the fall and can start working on it!
+Adam Dumbleton it does fine unless you try to turn too sharply! We have nicked our nose a bit but we are learning. When we can switch to a different hitch setup it will make the clearance a lot better. Hopefully this fall.
have fun on your getaway. you two have so much on your plate, relax and hsve fun.
+Susan Mckee Thank you! We sure did.
The scenery in Colorado is absolutely beautiful.
+NC Moose Rider I would have to agree!

+Spot The Scotts // FULL TIME RVing Life! My system is just a combo of a small notebook and my brain 😂😂😂😂. I'll check out your suggestion. Thanks
Nice spot Scotts!
+Lenny Jonas Isn't it, though!

+Spot The Scotts // FULL TIME RVing Life! About 6K I guess. I know it is a lot, but if we grow weary I just turn around and go east.
+Spot The Scotts // FULL TIME RVing Life! Wow that is a trip!
Argh! Stop showing such beautiful scenery as I have to stop stitching to watch! LoL :-)
+Sandra's Stitches Oops? #sorrynotsorry
Lol :-)
Howdy guys im new to your channel and been watching you videos all day and I must say you guys rock
+DAVID F Bell Well thank you SO much! Got lost down the rabbit hole? :-D
it would be a great place for an Xscapers convergence, have lots of firewood handy.
Hi guys...Do you have any plans to paint the new Ford truck? It would look so cool if it matched the Montana!!
+Rick Allen No plans to do so right now! It would definitely look cool! We think that we will have the truck longer than the trailer, though, and then we'd have a funny looking setup if the truck were paired with a totally different trailer!

What a beautiful area! What brand and colour lipstick are you wearing? It is really nice!
+sheriw48 Well thanks! I don't really like lipstick so I use burt's bees and it's more of a tinted chapstick I guess, I use the color rhubarb.

Great Sand Dunes RV Park.... we also have a video on it! :)
Can you give the model of your husbands sunglasses please 😊
He says they are Oakley M II (that's M 2) :)
+Spot The Scotts // FULL TIME RVing Life! Thank you so much
so you have a 5th wheel and an airstream? you travel with both at the same time?
Yes we have both but no we do not. The fifth wheel is our full time home & airstream is going to be like our vacation home :) After we renovate it. Right now it's hanging out in storage until we get back in the fall and can start working on it!
oh ok, awesome!
I just want a bite of the chicken that's all.
+Christopher Courtney Come on over!
+Spot The Scotts // FULL TIME RVing Life! It looks like you have plenty for everybody!
+PineMountainVentures Brian tends to cook for a crowd even though there isn't one lol. We usually eat the rest the next day.
How close is it between the trailer and the aux fuel tank when you turn?
+Adam Dumbleton it does fine unless you try to turn too sharply! We have nicked our nose a bit but we are learning. When we can switch to a different hitch setup it will make the clearance a lot better. Hopefully this fall.
