Robertson, what's that over 50%. He's quite the hockey player. Huge momentum swing for the B's. They needed this to hopefully get back to form, tight checking, good fundamental hockey.
Is it me or did multiple Dallas players go totally lateral in the shootout which isn't technically legal? Seems to happen a lot these days and never gets called
I think he's drinking too much, and I say this as a Jack fan. He can be annoying at times, to be sure, but I love his authenticity as a lifelong fan and New England native... I take the bad with the good. Brick (Andy Brickley) is awesome, the two have made a solid broadcasting duo for a couple decades now, IMO
It’s bad. He honestly sounds like he’s drunk all the time. They needed to replace him last year so I don’t know what they’re waiting for cause it’s embarrassing at this point
He always has sucked at shootouts... it's weird because he demonstrates a goal-scorer's touch in a variety of spots, not just his famous one-timers or wrister snipes. In general, it's strange how many gifted NHL scorers make it look easy finishing on breakaway situations during the game... and yet their success rate in shootout attempts is so much lower.
If we accomplish something to speak of the rest of the season and in spring, this game might have turned things around; finally, the other team blew a late lead and lost the game eventually.
I know this is a feel good win for the B’s and a lot if B’s fans are frustrated. But let’s not forget that no one expected the Bruins to be this good anyway. This is the first year without our two top centers that we’ve had for years. Let’s try to keep our expectations in perspective. If we had the cap space this year it would’ve been a rebuild year.
I don’t agree, I expected the Bruins to be right where they are. Obviously no team is better after loosing a Bergeron but with the goaltending this team has they have as good a chance as any team in this league.
1. a victory of inches! 2. that save pct. > 14/15 = .933 3. the B's are still not good at shootout/penalty shot. look at their captain, barely floating above .200 (but he scored to have this game continue!)
I just watched the Blackhawks (my #2 team, behind Boston, of course) post a terrible shootout against Nashville. It was so disappointing hat I had to come back to this to see our Bruins and the Stars show us how two elite hockey teams conduct themselves in a shootout. This one was special. Swayman stones Seguin on a MUST save shot, followed by the Captain smoking Oettinger on a long distance sniper snapshot, followed by 6 rounds of back and forth NASTY saves on both ends, followed by our D-man McAvoy with a gorgeous goal, and ended with a classic Swayman save on none other than Craig Smith for the win, after a game where Swayman got 44 saves on 47 shots by an elite offense. I really miss DeBrusk. That guy got so much shade thrown at him by our own fanbase for years, yet he was one of our best and most clutch players. He was so fast, so full of energy and spirit. The year before this he had his LEG BROKEN by a puck at the winter classic vs the Penguins at Fenway Park. As the Bruins were down 1-0 in the 3rd, running out of time, Jake DeBrusk, with a BROKEN FIBULA, proceeds to score the game tying goal, then the game winning goal. And we threw shade at this guy??? It makes me sick to see how we treat certain players sometimes.
Bruins def should have lost this game. 2 points is 2 points but can you do it in regulation. Oilers will eat us up imo, too many free shots given by our D. Its a win but def feels like a cheap one. We had no business winnimg this one post in OT. 2 wing 6 losses at home. Still garbage. Maybe if they put together a few wins things will get better but Boston isnt beating the hottest team in hockey / Oilers at home. This will be a 6 to 2 drubbing by Oilers coming up imo. Book it. Bruins still making the same damn mistakes game after game
they don't usually go like that. but we also know they were beaten by Yotes in the previous season, outshooting Arizona 3 to 1 and still a defeat. we might just relax and take these games with a grain of salt.
Thank you Sportsnet for the full shootout coverage and for showing the epic goalie hug between Ully and Sway
Holy crap Sway saved the Bruins asses this game. 40+ shots on goal for Dallas and a nine round shootout
MVP!!!
He needed that... for his own confidence. He had been playing poorly of late.
6.6 fantasy points for the day he scored the most out of everyone on my team and I have mcdavid on it
What a crazy final stop from Sway
Shades of Tim Thomas! Remember that save on Steven Reinprecht
Was that when he punched it out of the crease? “Not in this carnival!”
@MangoBS Indeed thats the one 😂
Only here to see McAvoy's shootout winner. freakin NHL channel
And Sportsnet
Same here, that was ridiculous!!!
Got to see it in person, plus it was my first nhl game!!!!!
Thanks, Sportsnet for showing the shot from above to see where the hell the puck landed. Dub!
McAvoy’s shot was so clean. What an amazing, textbook shot.
Thank you for the full post!!

That last shot is the most Craig Smith thing of all time
I know Seguin was heated after losing this one he had at least 3 solid chances to end the game in OT and the shootout chance

Big win for the Bruins before they hit the road. They needed this after the way they’ve been playing this home stand. Great game!!
Did edwards start to call seguin Taylor? He sounds like his health isn’t doing so well.

YAY!!! Swayman saved the day!!
also, Marchand who was not having too much success in shootout, scored to make the game go on.
Oh my god Jack Edwards has fallen off. Did he have a stroke or something?
It’s bad. He honestly sounds like he’s drunk all the time. They needed to replace him last year so I don’t know what they’re waiting for cause it’s embarrassing at this point
Drink!
He’s had medical issues in the past. I think he battled some sort of muscle disease. Not sure though.
Beautiful effort by Pasta lmaoo

Бостону просто повезло!Даллас сейчас самая крутая команда...

I was there it was sick

time for Boston to change commentator's pls
I wonder why DeBoer didn't use his Captain Jamie Benn as one of his shooters for the shootout?
I don’t follow Dallas but didn’t he put Benn on the 4th line for a bit?
a stars fan will tell you that jamie benn has fallen off recently
Epic.
Такое только в кино бывает!
Painful Bruins hockey in the last month. Looks like they've brought up players to try anything for offense.
Steen should have been replaced awhile ago, he's a hard worker but pathetic output (1 pt for the season). Brazeau was a difference maker today.

Жалкое зрелище буллитов, нету мастеров щас как раньше, взять хотя бы то время когда играл Датцюк.

the boston announcer is insufferable lol
You are insufferable lol
I watched this stupid shootout instead of the “Wild” Wild game and missed 3 goals🤦♂️
to dramatic for the lessor games
