Love English, Learn English with Leila & Sabrah I like the 007 series . I watch them on DVD . It´s difficult to listen to the lines which Sean Connery speaks . It´s a unique pronunciation. from Japan
Hi teacher How is it going? I must confess that the British English is more difficult to me, I think the british accent is more difficult to understand, I am from Venezuela and here it is more common the American English, here the tv shows, movies, tv programs use or speak in American English, even it is more common to listen to American slangs. However, I have to say that I am always watching your videos and following your advices and tips and I am able to understand your accent, at the beginning it was a little bit difficult to understand your accent, but step by step I have learned to understand your accent. thanks a lot teacher to share your tips with us, they are very useful. Have a nice day.
Hi I love English with you.I enjoyed your teaching.I apreciate you to help me understand native speakers ,but learnig to speak fluently sounds plausible. Thanks alot.
Tq a lot of ur fantastic english lesson Sebra, I hv no problem of listening english native speaking, hwevr I hv problem of english especially when it's involving more advance words
I've nothing without giving you love because of making different/ difference accent of voice tone video.i usually habit of use in British accent and also like American's too.
I don't know how many times I've tried to understand Alan Ladd and Jack Palance amiably chatting in the "Shane" final duel (unsuccessfully, I must say). Oh, wait just a minute! I've seen the video clip ("Low Down Yankee Lier") right now and... I can't believe it! I understood 50% of the dialogue (gunshots included)! No kidding. Stubbornness is the name of this game. Thanks for the video, Sabrah.
You share 5 ways to understand native English speakers. I understand the 5 main points you have presented even though you speak fast, but I see English subtitles I also understand a lot. Thank you. I will Like the videos you post on youtube.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment I am so glad you enjoyed the video ! Please let us know what else you would like to learn. Best of luck with your English 😊
Hi, Sabrah! Very nice to see you again! For me, the lesson couldn't be more perfect! but infact, I still have quite many problems for listenning TV and radio in english. May be you have to spent a lot of time to teach us! Thank you so much for you good lesson! I expect to see you soon!
Thanks very much Phong! Glad you enjoyed it. What problems exactly do you have ? Can you tell me a bit more so I can think about lessons. Hello from the UK! 🇬🇧😊
Hi, Sabrah! You are very kind, always care about your students! Thank you so much! The problems in listenning English are there are difficult clauses, phrasal nouns, phrasal verbs, especially slang. We could hear them very clearly but could not understand. May be have to study in longer time! Look forward to seeing you soon!
I was reading Maugham and he uses "Avin" for "Having" in his Novels, and so UK accents are tricky unless you know them! Good attempt from your side! Queens' English Cockney
But I think you'd better post new videos more often. Tons of subjects are told by different people. I would be pleased to hear them from your perspective if you posted.
Hi Sabrah. First of all I love British English because it is language of Great Britons like Oliver Cromwell, Shakespeare,Charles Dickens, John Milton,Conan Doyle,Florence Nightingale,Captan Robert Falcon Scott and others who made a British History of Great nation and when I learn British English I feel immersion into a deep culture of that nation with its traditions. Secondly for me British English more easier to understand and pronounce than American or Australian. As for British accents I prefer standart English of BBC. Thank you for your efforts.Would be nice to see you again.
As you said in this video about phrasal verb, which is definitely very important in English language and it's very hard to learn and use it frequently while we try to speak in English. So as an English learner my question is how can I learn phrasal verb very easily? What's the easiest methods do you want to recommend us so that we can learn phrasal verb very easily ?
There are so many videos that you can watch on RUclips where you can learn about phrasal verbs. We have made some! Also if you google learn phrasal verbs there are worksheets with that. You could also buy a good vocabulary book like Vocabulary in Use by Raymond Murphy. Hope this helps 😊
Thanks for Lesson Sabrah! 👍😉Yes, understand native English can be very difficult, but listening to natural English via RUclips I hope to help me! 🙂For me, I admit the connected speech is very difficult, but it sounds likeable, and surely I trying it! 🙂 I think that my biggest mistake I learnt grammar during my education (the professors were always got attention on grammar, the little on the conversation 😞) more than the others parts of English, but from now it'll be different! I do try my best! When it comes to understanding English, I would like to watch my favourite series ''The Hotel Babylon'' without subtitle on my own language, but the London accent sounds difficult! Although this series lasted too short and watched it already, I can watch it always! Maybe with english subtitle would be easier? And forget, it's good your advice about exercise understaning Native English with girlfriend! 😀👍 About accent, I prefer British accent! I really like it! I I liked it because of you Sabrah! 😉🙂 In my opinion, British accent sounds more elegant from the American, more beautiful! 🙂
Thanks for the top notch advic...... I'll start listening to natural English as much as I could. I'm looking forward to watching your next video like this one.
Thank you for your advice to understand natives. Let me share something with you. You know English is a compulsory subject in our curriculum which exposes us to the language. The sad thing is we cannot explore the four aspects of English as our school system focuses on two of them reading and writing. On top of that, our non-native teachers can't speak fluently and they lack in good pronunciation. That's why I started practising with dictionaries' audio pronunciations and English video lessons. Thank God that I have improved somewhat. Coming to the accent, I like British accent and listen to it a lot. I am ok with American and Australian accents, but Irish and Scotish ones are hard for me. Well, thank you once again. Hi Charming- great name! Practising pronunciation with a dictionary is a great idea! That will really help you. Your English writing is excellent. Where are you from? It is a shame that your teachers are not fluent.
Love English, Learn English with Leila & Sabrah Thanks a lot for your kind words. I really appreciate it. Oh, btw I am from Bangladesh. Yeah, it's a shame that most of the English teachers here are not fluent. I think it's changed its course of direction and it is going to turn over a new leaf soon because of the young generation. Hi sabrah ma'am,I Just want to say that i learn lot of things from your video's and it's also help me to speak english fluenctly. but please give some tips to improve speaking skills. thank you
Thank you! Leila and I have made a video on speaking skills ! Search for it - it is quite an old video though ! Thanks so much for your sweet comment! 😊
Love English, with Leila & Sabrah I also want to ask one more thing that my english speaking is not so good so can you please tell me how to speak like British accent.
yes for sure . I really want to join in your class online. I would like to improve speaking and listening skills. As what you presented , i have a problem in listening to native speakers but i can understand all of your lessons easily.
Hi there, cheers for your videos! Would it be possible to do something showing the use of weak forms in sort of small paragraphs? Cheers again, be cool..
Hi Jason yes those accents are difficult - northern Irish is particularly difficult but not such a common accent. We will make a video on accents soon so look out for that! 😊
Thank you very much Sabrah ma'am,Please make a video on British foods & beverage choices because you guys are the best in the world please,Stay blessed.
Hi Sabrah. I'm trying to learn American and British accents. I was learning from the American accent. But when I heard the British accent I could not understand. Then I decided to learn both the accents. This has been a difficult journey haha. Thanks for the lesson.
+Love English, Learn English with Leila & Sabrah Yes I am.I still have difficult. But with your help and of other channels help a lot.I appreciate you both.
+Love English, Learn English with Leila & Sabrah Yes I am.I still have difficulty. But with your help and other channels it has helped a lot.I appreciate you both.
Hi, Sabrah! Thank you for this advices, it's really useful and working. When you speak clearly I can understand every single word that you are saying. The same thing with Americans. When they speak accurately, I understand them easily. But, most of the time you guys don't speak like that. I already watch videos that you are mentioned and variety of accents is so huge. Sometimes I can't even get the main point. Maybe it will take another two years to start to understand native speakers easily. Sabrah, is it everybody in England able to speak clearly like you?
Hi Daniel thanks so much. Yes I speak quite clearly and there are lots of English and American people who speak clearly like me, but the accents can be difficult as I said in the video learn connected speech and focus on a few accents that you really need to learn. Thanks for your comment and best of luck with your English
*5 ways to help you understand native speakers* Why You can't understand them? *1. They don't speak classroom English* ........ They don't speak like your English teachers who usually slow down for you to make you understand. Start listening to native speakers each day ( TV shows, podcasts, a native friend, boyfriend or girlfriend) *2. Natives use connected speech* .... Ex: Do you like chocolate? Do ya like chocolate? *3. Natives speak with variety of accents* ... You are from Liverpool 😘 my greetings to *Mo Salah* Focus on the accent which you are going to hear a lot... And don't focus on all accents. *4. Slang words* ..... If you hear the same word a lot so it is important so learn it by heart.. *5. Phrasal verbs* ....... Milk has run out To fall out = to disagree with someone .. So learn phrasal verbs they are very helpful...
Thank you for this summary. I see that you understood all the video very well so well done! I hope you found the video useful. Next time we will make a video about how to improve your writing skills. :)
Absolutely smitten! 😊 Would you be kind enough to teach me how to put on that Dame Maggie Smith-esque accent (as in Harry Potter, viz., the way she says, "blithering idiot" "terribly" and a few other trifles?) I'd remain indebted.
Hmmm ok so maybe you need to watch some tv series where the people have these accents. There is also a great English teacher with an Australian accent called English with Adriana - maybe you can watch her as well 😊
hey.madam, how are you DOING? thanks a lot for helping us.please, what does mean slot down under and with due acknowledgment.pease i need answer thanks.
Sabrah I always enjoy your videos on English accent. Even more so when I learnt that u are from Liverpool. Pls can u answer me which club do u support?. Hope it's not Everton 😀
Yes they are but it is probably because of the vocabulary, or it could be the accent. Try watching with the subtitles on and checking any new words as you watch 😊
Hi Sabrah ma'am,How are you? I hope you are good your English lesson is very comfortable and easy to understand. Sabrah ma'am you choose good topics that's why you look more polite, calm with cup of tea Sabrah,Leila♥♣♦♠great,Stay blessed.
Love English, Learn English with Leila & Sabrah Very helpful lesson for me, thank so much teacer, I always look forward to receive your new video lesson every day, best luck with teaching English!
A British accent generally means the accent from the south of England, doesn't it? I'd like you to make a video about various accents such as from Scotland, Wales, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol etc... , you name it! Also, English with an accent from various countries! Ta :)
Hi Rio ok good idea! We can make a lesson on those! Standard British accents means no accent - or RP but that is less used today. A standard british accent is spoken more in the south yes 😊
Hi Sabrah 😊, which is your advice about watching Tv Series (as in my opinion one of my favourite series '' Hotel Babylon'' and at all); to watch it with English subtitles or without it? I tried it without English subtitles one time, but it's not easy at all! 😞Watching with subtitle in my own language is not good at all, right? Maybe this could be a good new lesson ''How to watch tv series for improving English?'' 👍😉 Sorry, If I disturb you, I'm always thinking and worried my commenting on your Fb, Instagram and RUclips channel is overmuch, because of that I'm avoiding to leave comments in the Fb and Instagram in the same time and here on RUclips! 😟😟
Hi Srdjan! We really like getting your comments! Why would you worry about that? We can’t always reply though as we are so busy, but we read them and are happy to get them! I think you should watch with subtitles for now and when you get more confident try without. If you want to learn a range of accents then watch game of thrones. Have you heard of it ? For a classic British accent try ‘Downton Abbey’ 😊
Love English, with Leila & Sabrah Oohhh Hi Sabrah, nice to hear from you! ☺ Well, I'm worring because I always think I'm boring, when you see my message I think you're saying "Boring Srdjan" and because of that I don't want to repeat my comments on your online platforms(Fb,IS, RUclips), to change your opinion about me! I'm always afraid that you say me once "don't crossed your line" 😞😞But after this message it seems you don't angry with me! ☺ But I was worring the most about my question I sent you in DM, important for me, but with this question surely I cross my line. Did you read it in DM, because to show me that you read this question? Of course, I know you're busy and I respect your time, but I always think it's something else. Thanks so much for responding Sabrah! I'll try it! 😊👍Of course, I heard for Games of Thrones, many said it's great! Did you watch it? 😊 I heard for the series "Downtown Abbey" recently, I'd like to watch it, british series are great and quality I think! ☺Ohhhh, now I remember your amazing photo from Country House and in this post you mentioned this series! If you would act in this series, I watched it with great pleasure! 😊❤
Teacher Sarbah! Have you watched the British TV series "Luther" that was displayed on BBC ? They speak in a very difficult accent and I noticed that thay rarely pronounce the T or never so do you know in which accent those actors speak? Thanks 😍

*5 ways to help you understand native speakers*
Why You can't understand them?
*1. They don't speak classroom English* ........ They don't speak like your English teachers who usually slow down for you to make you understand.
Start listening to native speakers each day ( TV shows, podcasts, a native friend, boyfriend or girlfriend)
*2. Natives use connected speech* ....
Ex: Do you like chocolate?
Do ya like chocolate?
*3. Natives speak with variety of accents* ...
You are from Liverpool 😘 my greetings to *Mo Salah*
Focus on the accent which you are going to hear a lot... And don't focus on all accents.
*4. Slang words* ..... If you hear the same word a lot so it is important so learn it by heart..
*5. Phrasal verbs* .......
Milk has run out
To fall out = to disagree with someone ..
So learn phrasal verbs they are very helpful...
Thank you for this summary. I see that you understood all the video very well so well done! I hope you found the video useful. Next time we will make a video about how to improve your writing skills. :)

hola chicas las sigo en El Salvador. America Central..
Thank you for making us know more.
But why English in movies is hard to understand?
Yes they are but it is probably because of the vocabulary, or it could be the accent. Try watching with the subtitles on and checking any new words as you watch 😊
yes I did I enjoy thе lesson. I love hugs. 😌
Glad you enjoyed the lesson! Best of luck with your English! 😊

yes , i'ts help me a lot and You have a smart and beautiful vision. I like your way of thinking.
You look so beautiful and be a great teacher I think British english sounds more polite than American english right?
Hi thank you! Yes some people think that English sounds more polite but American sound nice in a different way. Best of luck with your English. 😊
Hi. Your accent is amazing
Thank you!
A standard british accent is spoken more in the south yes 😊
thank you sabrah.you are really lovely and cool.
Awww what a sweet comment. Thanks so much 💕😊😊 I am really happy that you enjoyed the video 😊
Thanks so much
You are welcome! 😊

Thank you! 😊
But I was worring the most about my question I sent you in DM, important for me, but with this question surely I cross my line.
I heard for the series "Downtown Abbey" recently, I'd like to watch it, british series are great and quality I think! ☺Ohhhh, now I remember your amazing photo from Country House and in this post you mentioned this series! If you would act in this series, I watched it with great pleasure! 😊❤
Hi Sabrah you are beautiful and a great teacher. I love yours videos
Have a nice week bye
Thank you so much for your lovely comment ! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
thanks a lot is classroom english enugh native speaker to understand us or is it enogh to find work i try learning accents it needs to time
Classroom English is easy for English speakers to understand and for work. Yes learning accents takes time
Can't wait to see your video
you've blown my mind 🤧🤒😯
Haha why?
because of your beauty 😊
Teacher Sarbah! Have you watched the British TV series "Luther" that was displayed on BBC ? They speak in a very difficult accent and I noticed that thay rarely pronounce the T or never so do you know in which accent those actors speak?
Thanks 😍
I haven’t watched it - maybe I should. I think it is set in London where they often drop their ‘t’s. We will have a video on accents done soon! 😊
