I'm Sudanese and currently undergoing SAF military training, and i cannot thank you enough for bringing this to light. Just wanted to mention a few things : when the war erupted, the number of active military personnel was 45 thousand spread across different states of sudan, hemetti had 120 thousand soldiers in Khartoum alone. And when the RSF got kicked off their bases in Eastern sudan, they withdrew to Khartoum, which made the situation much much worse. Not to mention the daily influx of mercenaries from chad, centeral africa, and Libya.

This battle has been going on for a year, and every day, Sudanese people are slain, looted, raped, and displaced by the RSF militia. The tides are turning now, with the army making gains and putting these rebels under siege, and people enrolling in training camps to combat these militias under the SAF flag.

Ukrainians also make heavy use of civil cars for military purposes. Toyota (or Soviet cars) can be substitute for IFV for African isurgents, but even in army that have IFV and other armored vehicles civilian non-truck cars have many functions - evacuation of wounded soldiers, resupply of far outposts (that dont need entire truck but also its too risky to send supply trucks where car can sneak/rush through), making up for lost transport vehicles until they replaced. So, in time, even Russian army begin to use those (not for fighting. Besides motorbikes, they are so mobile ). Now both Russian and Ukrainian armies mainly buy cars by money donated by their country's population, but in 2015 Azov was very infamous for (besides its war crimes and ideology, of course) "requsition" of any civilian cars they see and need, at will, at any time (because in Ukraine, "heroes" of Maidan and "anti-terrorist operation"(punitive operation against Donbass) are immune to the law. Thats defenders of democracy for you)

When this war started, because of the chaos in Khartoum I remember everyone, every news outlet were talking about it and showing Sudanese mig-29s firing missiles into the city. I was genuinely shocked of what was going on because Khartoum is pretty much a peaceful city before this civil war started, and after seeing the videos of the chaos just from the first day of the war on April 15, just made me sad man.
Now they’re calling Khartoum the Aleppo of Africa which is even more depressing

Hey brother! I really admire your battle field analysis of the Russo-Ukraine conflict. It is quite astonishing the way you explain events that took place on the battle field as if you were there. This shows that you do your homework quite well before sharing it with your audience. I was quite surprised to say the least that you are now covering the conflict in neighboring Sudan. Quite frankly, despite the news that a civil war started in Sudan almost a year ago, I have not followed up much on the developments as I have my own home grown genocidal war to deal with. Now with this segment here, it look like I have caught up a bit. The reason for my chiming in is that while you are over here in Eest Africa, I want to bring to your attention to an even more major conflict worth covering that has been unfolding, since almost the same time as the conflict broke out in Sudan, between a freedom fighting group called the Amhara Fano and the government of Ethiopia. I thought it would be in yours and perhaps the civilized world’s best interest to cover the conflict in the Amhara region of Ethiopia and expose the injustice being served to the Amhara people by their own government. I like your style of presentation and I guarantee you that you will find a lot of elements that fit your style and purpose. Thanks for all that you do.

So nope, the opposite is proven. Althrough, RSF dont have air forces or massive amount of drones, this is huge factor increasing value of the tanks at the opposite side.

Thank you for highlighting the tragedy we are experiencing in Sudan
We believe that General Al-Burhan is working for the benefit of the RSF, not the SAF. He was satisfied with the trench, the lack of conscription, and the open movements, all of which were unsecured, in addition to the recent withdrawal of the repeated military divisions. Another city fell into the hands of the RSF with complete ease. The battle did not last for hours, with an open outflank that would not be hidden from any young soldier, let alone the generals.

The war in Sudan is the most predictable thing in the world, you can't have 2 different militaries in one country without a war breaking out. African geopolitics is so predictable to the point where it's not fun for people like me. Obviously there is so much MUCH more to the conflict that I myself know but don't feel like sharing.
