These videos are so important to me, I have to say thank you for taking the time to help others! I was set on PA school, but knew my interest was in anesthesia and I only just recently learned about CAA as a career path! Would you ever consider sharing more about specific programs, the application process, and program availability? Thank you again for so much wonderful information and help, These videos are such a vital lifeline for so many!
I’m interested in applying to AA school within a year or two! I just wanted to ask, were you nervous at all after starting your first job? Did you feel that school prepared you enough to feel comfortable when managing patients?
if you still have anki, is there any way you would be able or willing to share those flashcards? Also, do you have any input on AA School at Indiana University Indianapolis?
Thank you for this video 😊 Question 🙋♂️ Can I work in state Florida or Georgia by my Bachelor's degree or I must have master's degree to do that?😅 Now I have a bachelor's degree, what will my salary be in the USA?🇺🇸
I'm going to be going to a school that does not have a previous class, so I wont have any previous decks. Do you think it'll be possible to make all my anki cards and be successful. Should my classmates have dedicated students that spend their time on creating decks since we're the inaugural class so its not so time consuming?
This is absolutely possible, time management is key. In my year people shared the quizlet cards they made, but a lot of the time it was close to the exam date and by then I had my own that I either made/started studying.
Thank you very much for all the informative videos about CAA! I wanted to become a physician, however, because of my MCAT score I have not been able to obtain any interview invites this cycle. I was introduced to CAA program las year and I shadowed a CRNA for 8 hr. My question is even though that is the minimum requirement for NOVA, would it not be enough to be considered a competitive applicant? I worked as a CNA for almost 3 years and have shadowed several physicians due to my pre med track. Another question is how can I get more shadowing experience? I am from Tampa and had to go to Miami to shadow that CRNA. Thank you in advance for your time!
@@CAALifestyle Would shadowing a CRNA be counted towards it? And if I am not able to get the shadowing hours, would they make an exception for the requirement, being that I am not in one of the states?
Hi, Chabely. I have been watching a lot of your CAA videos. I am interested in this route. I too was considering medical school to become an anesthesiologist, but I feel like I just want ro focus on anesthesia, stay in school for a fewer amount of years, not take on the responsibility and leadership of of doctor, and still get paid well. I feel like the CAA route could be for me. Could I posible email you, please?
Are you at all worried about the future of the profession and it going away with CRNAs lobbying against CAAs so much? Or the industry going with CRNAs just bc they are cheaper than the ACT model? Im a prospective CAA applicant and this has me worried as the only source of income in my family.
The ACT is the safest and most cost effective anesthesia model... I believe the CAA profession has a lot of room to grow and is taking action to do so! But it is an extremely personal decision to make on whether this career is for you.
Hi Chabely! I’m in a little bit of a different situation. I found myself going through a lot of personal and mental struggles during my undergrad and graduated in 2020 with my B.S. in biomedical sciences in Tampa. I’ve been working full time in different positions, mainly as a CNA on a cardiac unit, some OR, and for the last year as a women’s health/MedSurg CNA. I’ve been juggling with my options of nursing school, trying to get into medical sales, or CAA school, and would love to become competitive for Nova, as it is within an hour drive and would save me a lot of headaches to commute to! Can I please message you on Instagram to get some more is insight(I don’t see your IG on your page)?
To add, I have not taken the GRE, nor have I shadowed yet, as I am just really beginning to look down this path as a career. I am able to likely shadow CRNAs and CAAs at my hospital.

How would you recommend gaining shadowing experience if the state doesn't allow CAAs to practice?
I traveled out of state! Otherwise possibly through a health advisor in college.

Do you know of any AA anki decks that are public or ones you'd be willing to share? I would love to replicate your success!
Not that I know of, but the quizlet conversion extension may be helpful with using pre-made decks :)
I have a question: it s possible to be awake and intubated?
It is possible and can be safer/necessary depending on the situation.
I ask because my cousin will have an surgery and after it she will be wake up and still intubated. It s big scary?
If AA school is 27 months was the first 12 the main didactic portion?
yes
In my program the first 12 we’re heavily focused on the didactics, and the next 3 were a mix. Then the last 12 were clinicals.
Dear I done my 4 year bachalar anesthesia teachnlogist degree how much I earn there what is salary in your country
The average is 79k/year
this whole video was an ad :(
it took a lot of my (rare) free time to make and it wasn’t sponsored 😅
